Guest guest
I am interested in finding out what companies have the best herbal formuals both patent and non-patent. I know that different companies have their different strengths with different formulas such as one company has better tonics, etc. I am also interested in patents that are good, either patents that are purchased thru China that we used in school vs. patents that are developed by different companies here in the United States. One last question, which patents are just as effective as the non- patents. It seems that I get the same results using non-expensive patents from China such as Yin Qiao and Bi Yan pian as I did using the more expensive formulas from Lotus (Evergreen), Quality Herbs, etc. Perhaps we could have a poll regarding this as well. I am always looking for the best companies with the better products but at the same time looking at the expense aspect from the patients view. Thanks for the help Brian PS...Perhaps we could list both the strong and weak points of the companies so we can make a better decision. Guest guest
Make sure your 'patents' are not adulterated. Both yin qiao and bi yan pian are often mixed with pharmaeceutcals. Guest guest
How would you know if the ingredients are not listed on the label. Any company recommendations you would like to give. Thanks Brian <zrosenbe wrote: Make sure your 'patents' are not adulterated. Both yin qiao and bi yan pian are often mixed with pharmaeceutcals. Guest guest
Go with GMP companies, they do not allow this. Later Mike W. Guest guest
" Extra strength " yin qiao tablets are adulterated. Bi yan pian in green capsules is adulterated. Avoid herbal 'patents' that look like drugs (colored capsules, candy colored coated pills in bright colors), avoid products that list 'inert' ingredients. I never use any mainland patents unless they have GMP certification. I use Kan Herbs extracts, KPC powders and pills, along with raw herbs. Guest guest
I like Health Concerns for quality. I use their Phellostatin and Artestatin, as well as their Osteoherbal and Gastrodia tablets. Many of the other formulas are combinations of western herbs or vitamin supplements with Chinese herbs, so I don't use them, as I consider them experimental formulas outside of what I practice. Guest guest
Some of their formulas are made with simply ground herbs, so the doses are very low in some circumstances.
