For most of the 20th century, the court gave a liberal interpretation to this provision that allowed federal regulation of the workplace, the environment and civil rights. The landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964, which barred discrimination against blacks in jobs, hotels and other public businesses, was upheld by the Supreme Court as a regulation of interstate commerce. But more recently, the neo con majority has said it will not allow Congress to regulate virtually anything on the theory that it might affect commerce. < >Are you man enough to post the apology and admit that neither you nor those advising you know what the heck they are talking about? < I will ignore the sexism of your remark and ask if you are too much of a demagogue to make such an honest statement of apology for your numerous mis-statements of the facts? Here is the rest of your rant; >Oh I see..a trial attorney. No wonder...an attorney who specializes in dueling (building a clients bill) and not the finer points of Law especially NOT Consitutional Law.< As i said he is an ACLU lawyer who has in fact argued before the US Supreme Court (once on my behalf) and he mostly works pro bono Oh and that is Dr Doc to you!
