Since an important foundation theory of the martial arts is the

importance of posture and breathing in blockage of the meridians many

books alude to these issues. Dr. Yang-Ming often referes to these

issues of openeing the meridians through movement, breathing, and

posture in his books.

Yes MCM,

Unblocking the meridians using posture, breathing and movement falls into

the realm of Qigong. This topic can't be discussed on this forum and

another group was set up to deal with it.

Dr Yangs book is good.....called The Root of Chinese Qigong. For a begnnner

I'd also recommend any of Daniel Reid's books...especially the one called

" The Complete Guide to Chi Gung "

Kind regards

Using posture and movement in diagnosing channel conditions, especially

sinew channels, is most definitely within the scope of CM and CCM, though

vanilla TCM training doesn't touch on it much. Martial arts masters are

traditionally also masters in medicine.

Framing the issue as exclusively gigong, and hence banishing it from this

forum -- is this a way of hiding, running from ignorance?

Not meant to offend, but the TCM penchant towards the dogmatic here is

getting out of hand, IMNSHO.

Chris, I'm not running or hiding from anything. I voted to keep it as a

topic within this forum - but the majority didn't.
