Guest guest
I believe the folklore about this one is the " happy baby " point I learned - KI 9. It is to be needled with a gold needle at 12 weeks and 28 weeks gestation. The folklore I know is that is supposed to prevent congenital defects. Would never repeat that to a patient, and can't bring myself to believe it anyway. I figure that it benefits the uterus, and the pregnancy. Have used it in conjunction with habitual miscarriage, but also used herbs which in my mind were what conferred the therapeutic benefit. I still gold needle KI 9 every pregnant woman at 12 and 28 weeks though, and with a history of miscarriage, more often than that. One of my postulations about it is that it may - totaly unproven - increase circulation to the uterus, similar to the various protocols used to aid in vitro fertilization. Since micro clotting of the placenta has been shown to be one cause of habitual miscarriage, and if this improves that circulation or prevents the clotting, I'm fairly content to use it as part of more globalr pattern identification and internal medicine treatment plan. Guest guest
Pure gold needles? I'm sure it must be made of an alloy, since pure gold would bend. What would these things cost?
