Hi all,

Taken from: http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/uknews/news20041116.shtml#1

In a quiet day for health news, the Times reports on news of a new

study by scientists at Toho University School of Medicine in Tokyo

on glaucoma. The team reported that the chance of developing

glaucoma, which can lead to blindness, is almost doubled by sight-

intensive use of computers and VDUs. The research suggested that

those with normal vision were not at risk, but those short-sighted

faced a greater risk. Dr Masyuki Tatemachi has claimed

that " computer stress is reaching higher levels than have ever been

experienced before " and suggested that health professionals may need

to take such factors into more consideration in the future.

I saw an acupuncturist treat and cure glaucoma within two treatment

sessions.
