Guest guest
Hi Richard, I had wondered why we have well, spring, stream, river, pool and sea points. I think that it is the emergence of light or qi transforming from the non-physical to the physical. If you think that as we stand and raise our arms upwards, the Qi diffuses through our hands and feet into physical. This can be further developed as the feet are earth and the hands heaven, with us in the middle, man. As to your question from the other day.....on Yang and Yin style treatment... This is logical. As we believe...... there is no actual division between the two. In the comparison of Yin to Yang....it is always of a 'relative' nature. The use of an acupuncture needle with or without electricity appears to be more focused/concentrated and nerve related. Just look at the allopaths and the books they write on the neurological effects of acupuncture and I don't doubt that it is true. BUT......it can not be ALL of what the umbrella of acupuncture/OM is all about. According to Dr. Wu, Boping in conversations to me...even though there are no definitive writings that he recalls in the some 10,000 books written in ancient Chinese......it makes sense that there is liquid/moisture in the acupuncture channels. To me it is logical that at least there is this liquid (which is interstitial fluid) and other components in and around the channels formed by the proximity of muscles or muscles and bones which include the vascular, lymph and neurological networks . When one uses TuiNa, GuaSha, BaGuan......they are impacting/effecting more tissues/functions than just the nerves/neurological. Of course acupuncture needles has an effect on other tissues but just not as much as when using the Yin modalities. So when there is a much greater impact on Fluid physiology/pathology doesn;t it seem reasonable to call that a Yin treatment/modality? By the way... ever wonder as to WHY many points have been referred to as WELL, SPRING, STREAM, RIVER, POOL and SEA points? We have heard it is in relation to QI....yet to me QI is just a more etheric nature of liquid as moisture. I have even seen translation references to Qi as moisture. Neither are ever separated. Yin is also always Yang and vice versa and so the same is with Qi & Fluids. So WHY not consider Qi as a form of fluid? Richard
