Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I adore that hobbit house :-) Did you see the link (on the page) for more pics? It had interior shots, different rooms and how it was made, pics. Living off the grid would be fun, in that thing !!Lynda B Blessed are the Cracked, For they are the Ones Who let in the Light! We'd both love to live off the grid - As long as I've known about eco-friendly houses, and houses built into the side of dirt mounds, I've thought they were cool. It's funny, because just before you sent the article, DH and I were talking about different ways one could build a " dirt " house. He came up with something I thought was interesting - he said one could fill sand bags (no clue where you'd get that many sand bags, though) and build the house that way. Hadn't really flushed it out, but thought it was an interesting concept. Lynn Hi Lynn, I adore that hobbit house :-) Did you see the link (on the page) for more pics? Guest guest
Sand bags!? Wow! I hadn't thought of that. I like the hay bale house I saw once as a kid. I don't think it is still there any more. I will look into sand bagging...
