Music and Numbers Through the Looking Glass by Lui Di Martino

The Dorian Connection within the supposed duality of things.

As far as the Dorian Mode is concerned, there is no real duality. When looked at not merely in terms of music making, but as actual construction and cyclical standing, then the Dorian sits at a perfectly symmetrical point that is the marriage point of the duality (A Gateway.) This may be seen as a musical marriage point.
