Guest guest
What is it? There is so much misdiagnosis going on in the medical field. When I had a blow to my head, I was diagnosed as compulsive, obsessive, and histrionic because the mri and cat scan did not show anything. Where is the knowledge that these doctors are supposed to get when they are in school? I went to many different medical sites concerning head injury brain injury and concussion. The big one was the Mayo clinic and on their site it stated that you can have a head injury because the imaging machines do not always pick up things that are there. What about a bruised bone? The skull does not have much to protect the skull bones. Now they have found out the skull is not all one solid bone but platelets. These can shift and cause pressure. This blow affected my walking, my eyesight, nausea, cause major dizziness. Yes I was in a down state but I was not depressed. Workers comp cut me off of any money because the doctors stated I did not have a problem. so why would I not be in a down state of mind? I went to see another pyschiatrist he ran the usual tests it is not almost 2 years later and he could not find one shred of histrionic, compulsive and obsessiveness. Doctors are only human and if you go to a number of different doctors with the same symptom you are going to get a whole raft of different diagnosis. For 30+ years I have had nothing to do with doctors. The drugs are horrendous in the side effects they cause. When you have the flu the doctors will prescribe antibiotics. Is it all the doctors fault? No people expect them to magically produce a little pill to fix things. When one pill is given there is a good chance there will be side effects so then another pill is given to counter act that one until there are a whole raft of problems. Then you are diagnosed with depression, parkinsons, alzeheimers and the list goes on. These drugs that are supposed to help cause so many awful side effects. This is not to say that at times someone is very depressed and needs some help but drugs is not the answer. Rather feed the body the nutrients they are lacking. For anyone suffering from feeling as though they are in the bottom of the barrel and there is no opening there is help. Edith
