I am interested in your opinions.

I have been searching (as mentioned to me earlier) for 100% pure Grape Seed Extract

Seems where ever I have looked on the internet (so far) I have come up with advertisements for PURE GSE..... until I looked further at the (dare I say it) small print on the bottles/packets.

I use the following by way of example:

The advertisement states VINTAGE RESERVERATROL 100%

errrrrrr 100% now you can't get much purer than that can you?

then I read on and discovered:

VINTAGE RESVERATROL 100% http://www.naturalbiology.com/resvertrol.html?gclid=CM6N2ZKAm5ICFQKiiQodsTZl6Q

Supplement Facts

Vitis Vinifera Resveratrol (from french red wine) glucosides with 40% polyphenols, proanthocyanidins, anthocyanins, and flavonoids

750mg

*

Okinawa Coral Calcium

90mg

*

Other Ingredients: Soy Protien Isoloate, No FILLERS OR PRESERVATIVES, Gluten Free,

This product destroys any chance I maight have considered purchasing it due to its containing Soy Protein Isolate and for some reason it also contains Coral Calcium. ALL I WANT IS THE GSE.

I looked further: http://www.worldimagenaturals.com/products/grapeseedextract/

This next one claims 100% additive free...... just what I am looking for right?

till you read further into the literature where is states " Grape Seed Extract is the only formula with 480mg of Vitamin P. " errrrrrrrrr now excuse me but surely by putting another/ different thing with the GSE that is technically adding to it... therefore it is an additive?

Where does a person obtain pure 100% GSE with NO fillers, nothing else added to the mix to enhance it? no fancy sales pitches etc etc etc........ if you know will you share it with me please. Thanks, from Clare in Tasmania.

Hi Clare

I understand Vit P is found also in grapes..

You might want to find out if the product you looked up has Vit P added

specifically or whether its's just an analysis of what to solutions

contains.

Sources of bioflavonoids (vitamin P)

Bioflavonoids are abundant in the pulp and rinds of citrus fruits and

other foods containing

vitamin

C, including red wine, green tea, onions, grapefruit seeds, apples,

and other fruits and berries. Many medicinal plants contain bioflavonoids

such as ginkgo biloba, hawthorn and Chinese scullcap. Citrus flavonoids

are found in citrus fruits, rutin in buckwheat, epigallocatechin gallate

(EGCG) in green tea, anthocyanidins in bilberry, and naringenin in

grapefruit. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins, are found in grape seeds and

skins. Quercetin is found in onions, tea, and apples.

and also

Appreciate your comments Hanneke

Went back to that particular website and re-read their 'hype'

These comments stand out:

contains: 100mg Standardized Grape Seed Extract (95%+** OPC) and 480mg Citrus Bioflavonoids* (Vitamin P).

Grape Seed Extract is the only formula with 480mg of Vitamin P.

World Image Naturals™ Grape Seed Extract Formula includes a beneficial amount of Citrus Bioflavonoids (480mg with 100mg of GSE). This is unmatched!

100% Pure • Additive-Free • Made in the USA • Safe • Most Effective • Unique Formula • Great Price

hummmm Formula could be a recipe???? implying more than one ingredient

Cheer's from Clare in Tassie

Boy, talk about truth in advertising!! I don't know how someone can say

something is 100% something when something else has clearly been

added....I wonder - could there be some reason why you can't find pure

GSE? Is it possible it breaks down really fast without something added?

Don't know - just asking.....But, I think your experience with this is a

cautionary tale - one can't believe something just because they've said

it, and has to always look at the fine print....Shame, because one would

hope you could at least trust the makers of products such as these. I'm

really glad you've shared your difficulty in finding what you're looking

for, because if nothing else, it's going to make me an even more careful

consumer.......

Did some searches, and couldn't find anything that didn't have something

else with it. But, have a question - if the GSE is in either a capsule or

in pill form, wouldn't that necessarily mean something would be added?

Either what the capsule is made of, or whatever is needed to make a pill

maintain it's form? And, as you said, all the liquid GSE has something

else as well. I'm beginning to think that GSE on it's own not only

taste too good, but doesn't hold up well.....

Although it contains a bit of potassium sorbate, plus some natural (they

say) grape flavor and color, it seems the product from T.J. Clark &

Co looks like it might be decent. They're supposed to be a pretty good

company. Since potassium sorbate is what is generally added to wine to

prevent refermenation and to maintain clarity, seems a logical choice to

prevent the GSE from going off. Please be sure to post if you're

successful in finding what you're looking for - or, if not, what you

decided to go with and why. Good luck!!!!

Carol et al

The reason I was researching PURE GSE was because

(hope I have name correct) Ken (the one WHO SHOUTS in all his emails ---- )

suggested it worked for him.....(has to be pure NO FILLERS I think he said)

and I am collecting information for a freind who's husband has elevated PSA

etc etc etc...........

When I pass along information to friends I like it to be 100% reliable and

accurate.... these friends are not web literate.... are not natural

researchers and have asked me about alternatives to (if it should be

necessary) traditionl therapy for cancer of the prostrate.

Cheers from Clare in Tassie
