Last week's session (Th 3/13/08) was only the 6th time in the last 176

years that Congress has closed its doors to the public.

Word has begun leaking that not only did members discuss new surveillance

provisions as was the publicly stated reason for the closed door session,

they also discussed:

the imminent collapse of the U.S. economy to occur by September

2008;

the imminent collapse of US federal government finances by February

2009;

the possibility of Civil War inside the USA as a result of the

collapse;

advance round-ups of " insurgent U.S. citizens " likely to move

against the government;

the detention of those rounded-up at " REX 84 " camps constructed

throughout the USA (see

the possibility of retaliation against members of Congress for the

13) Creation of watch lists, no-fly lists and similar exclusionary documents.

14) National ID cards.

15) Growing number of citizens incarcerated for a growing number of offenses.

16) Massive use of cameras to spy on citizens.

17) A media supportive of, or obsequious towards, the government in covering its police state activities.

18) Security bubble around government leaders' public appearances including pre selected audiences and limit on proximity of protests.

19) Disarming of citizenry.

20) Dissent characterized as disloyal by government and its supporting media.

21) Increasing government control over private behavior.

22) Lack of legal recourse to stop illegal government actions.

23) Prison without trial and arrests without charges.

24) It is difficult to borrow books from libraries pertaining to controversial subjects such as fascism.

25) Transfer of powers from legislatures to executive.

My feeling is that the contents of this email are mis-information, spread

across the internet by those who either have a sick sense of humor, very

sick at that, or are trolling the internet to cause more

fear, more discontent and rile the people.

Personally I'd be cautious to take this info on board. Just

keep it in back of mind.

There are so many things wrong with this post it would hard to know where

to begin. However, the most important is the majority of

assumptions, statements and supposed " leaks " spoken about in

this email are absolutely not verifiable. Anywhere. By anyone. Check

yourself. The only thing anyone will find is opinions and innuendos.

Nothing factual. Other than they had a closed door session. and, that

they debated surveillance legislation. More than that

is conjecture at this point.

I was a reporter, and I know what an " un-named source " or

" leak " can mean. Sometimes, it means you don't have anyone that

said anything - and are just trying to bolster a story. A number of

reporters have been caught doing just that. Their stories and their

" sources " were fictitious. A lot of the stuff said in this

email isn't even logical. For one, why would the U.S. merge with Mexico

for cheap labor? When they come pouring over the border and their labor

is already cheap? And, if the economy collapses, as this email suggests,

we won't have a need for cheap labor - it'll be all around us because

people will be out work. People will be desperate. People work pretty

cheap when they're in that situation. Just do a bit of checking on what

went on in the Depression in the 1930's.

Emails such as these are irresponsible and do nothing more than pander to

people's fears. While there may be a grain of truth here and there, it is

largely bunk, and should be treated as such. Not to mention - if, by some

stretch of the imagination some, or several of the things spoken about

below were in the cards, what could the average working person, the

working poor, or those who receive benefits because they can't work, do

anyway? If you don't have enough money to live properly, live hand to

mouth every month, or get the medical care you need, how do you suppose

one could plan for such an event?

Real quick, A cursory examination of one of the sites given as reference

for the article below, the Huffington Post, shows that opinion rather

than fact is the basis for a number of their articles. For example, the

recent article, Admiral Fallon: A resignation in Protest, written by Jon

Soltz, has a tiny bit of fact - and even that is not totally correct. The

bulk of the article is his opinion - unless of course, he is a telepath

and has read Adm. Fallon's mind. In case you're curious, the fact that

Fallon left his position as CENTCOM's commander is true. However, an

Admiral doesn't resign, especially not a four star Admirial - he retires.

which he did after 40 years of service. They are two entirely different

things - especially when it comes to someone in the military. Which Solz

would know, if he knew anything about the military at all. Or, if he were

even trying to give an objective presentation of the facts.

Unfortunately the speed at which things are unravelling and the depths of the lies and the many many years it would take to get at any truth which is not likely anyway---they still don't know who killed Kennedy after 50years---and we don't have 50 years---leave us no alternative but to take our best guess. More than that is conjecture at this point. I was a reporter, and I know what an "un-named source" or "leak" can mean. Sometimes, it means you don't have anyone that said anything - and are just trying to bolster a story. A number of reporters have been caught doing just that. Their stories and their "sources" were fictitious. A lot of the stuff said in this email isn't even logical. For one, why would the U.S. merge with Mexico

for cheap labor? When they come pouring over the border and their labor is already cheap? And, if the economy collapses, as this email suggests, we won't have a need for cheap labor - it'll be all around us because people will be out work. People will be desperate. People work pretty cheap when they're in that situation. Just do a bit of checking on what went on in the Depression in the 1930's.Emails such as these are irresponsible and do nothing more than pander to people's fears. While there may be a grain of truth here and there, it is largely bunk, and should be treated as such. Not to mention - if, by some stretch of the imagination some, or several of the things spoken about below were in the cards, what could the average working person, the working poor, or those who receive benefits because they can't work, do anyway? If you don't have enough money to live properly, live hand to mouth every month, or get the medical care you need, how do you suppose one

could plan for such an event? Real quick, A cursory examination of one of the sites given as reference for the article below, the Huffington Post, shows that opinion rather than fact is the basis for a number of their articles. For example, the recent article, Admiral Fallon: A resignation in Protest, written by Jon Soltz, has a tiny bit of fact - and even that is not totally correct. The bulk of the article is his opinion - unless of course, he is a telepath and has read Adm. Fallon's mind. In case you're curious, the fact that Fallon left his position as CENTCOM's commander is true. However, an Admiral doesn't resign, especially not a four star Admirial - he retires. which he did after 40 years of service. They are two entirely different things - especially when it comes to someone in the military. Which Solz would know, if he knew anything about the military at all. Or, if he were even trying to give an objective presentation of the facts.

Unfortunately the speed at which

things are unravelling and the depths of the lies and the many many years

it would take to get at any truth which is not likely anyway---they still

don't know who killed Kennedy after 50years---and we don't have 50

years---leave us no alternative but to take our best guess. Your guess is

a sgood as mine---to me it's not an unlikely scenario at all...we all

know its coming sometime...
