Guest guest
I wanted to send an update on my condition, because so many people sent me replies. My stress test came back fine, and I have been taking meds for my high blood pressure. I went off of my crestor, and am now taking red yeast rice with CoQ10, Natural Calm magnesium powder and my thyroid meds. I still have the numbness, pains in my chest on and off and weakness. I suddenly will start having shaky legs at different times of the day. Now I am having bouts of feeling like I want to scream, or throw something. The smallest thing sets me off. Then I feel very low, and only want to sit on the couch, and not leave the house. That has been going on for about a month now. My doctor said they can't find anything physically wrong in all of the tests that I've had, and to come back in 2 months for a recheck. I go back to my neurologist in March. I remember having these emotional feelings previous to my hysterectomy a long time ago, and they put me on meds for anxiety. I don't sleep at night either, and I'm sure that contributes to this. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thank you in advance. - edith Sunday, January 27, 2008 10:57 PM Re: symptoms Hi there I beg to differ with the doctors about this not being from the flu shot. Edith - rattyluv2000 Sunday, January 27, 2008 12:57 PM symptoms Hello, I am new to this group, and was referred by a friend. I have been having some pretty serious problems since October, and have had no answers from my doctor. I had a flu shot in October, and the day after, my symptoms started. This was only the second flu shot I've ever had, and last year I had some of these symptoms, but not nearly as extreme. It started with severe pain in my fatty part of my upper arm, then in my arm pit and breast. It then turned to numbness that has slowly spread to my face, ear and neck. The back of my left thigh is also numb. I can feel it in my left eye at times too, and the skin is raw feeling. I have pain in my lower back, and my legs have been weak. I have overall fatigue most of the time.I have fybromyalgia and hashimoto's thyroid disease. My blood pressure has also been very high, with the lower number averaging in the high 90's-low 100's. My doctor said this is not from my flu shot, and at my insistance, sent me to a neurologist. They also said it's most likely not from the flu shot. They did an evoked potentials and an MRI. The MRI showed some congenital cysts in my brain. All of the tests in the EP were normal, except the upper extremities tested poor. The doctor said that he is attributing that to me not fully relaxing. I have been on a beta blocker, but it is not touching my blood pressure. The neurologist told me to take my BP four times a day and keep a log. It does not change throughout the day. I am very worried and frustrated, and would really love to find out if anybody else has been through this. I'm sorry my post is so long, but I didn't want to leave anything else out. Guest guest
Whether its RED YEAST RICE or Lipitor, they are all statin drugs. No difference. There have been no clinical trials that have shown statins to be of benefit to ANY WOMEN or ANYONE over the age of 70 regardless of if they have or have not had prior heart disease. There is a benefit but its a small benefit to middle aged men ONLY. All statin drugs deplete the brain of much needed cholesterol. When the brain is deprived of cholestorol, the brain will malfunction. You will have memory loss, amnesia, nightmares so terrible that you will think that they are real, depression, become suicidal. Cholesterol is also responsible for hormone synthesis. Low cholesterol will throw your hormones out of balance. No doctor is going to tell you this stuff because they are all sellouts to the drug companies. There are better heart protective supplements to take that do no have bad statin side effects. Omega 3, Vit C, Gamma E, Coq10, Magnesium, Vit B complex, for starters. Josephine , " Neve " <neve wrote: > > I wanted to send an update on my condition, because so many people sent me replies. Guest guest
Invest in a 32 or 48 once bottle of Goji juice. At risk of sounding like a snake oil rep I must say that it cures what ails you! I quit my blood pressure, diabetic, and SSRI pysch meds after using this. And now everything is normal! I told my dentist about this and he said "Don't take medicine, it's bad for you". He has had similair situations. Guest guest
Before I read anything below regarding a recent flu shot (working backwards), but as I read only your current symptoms, my first thought was heavy metal poisoning. I've experienced exactly what you describe, to varying degrees, on multiple occasions. I didn't know you'd had a recent exposure, but I'm voting for the flu shot as your catalyst. Do you have metal amalgams (silver fillings) in your mouth as well? I apologize if this has been discussed. Look for current toxic exposures (new carpet, paint, etc) or areas of mold in home or workplace. Even though heavy metal is the source of my illness (note - do not walk around with open, leaky amalgams simply because they don't hurt and noone can see them in the back of your mouth) my symptoms are greatly increased by exposure to other toxins (exhaust or perfume sprays, chemical-laden foods, paint, prescription meds, etc...). Do everything you can to remove or minimize those exposures. Have you tried taking activiated charcoal or food grade bentonite clay? A clay bath would be a good thing to try, as well as an epsom salt bath. I see you're already taking magnesium, but I have found the transdermal magnesium oil to be amazing (AMAZING) at alleviating pain of all types. I was bedridden with pain for 14 months and barely mobile for another year plus. Now I can bring any pain down by at least half with just the oil and nothing else - 15 minutes from time of application. Really good stuff if you are being disabled by pain. Flooding yourself with C is another approach, although it can be a little rough on the digestive tract. Take what energy and effort you can spare, and educate yourself. You might want to start with the truth about vaccines. I'll try and find a link to the video that opened my eyes and send to list. Consider Andrew Hall Cutler's approach to testing, as detailed in his book Hair Test Interpretation. Guest guest
It sounds like to me you have anxiety and possably panic attacks. I would get second opinions on your diagnoses. My sister has these and they put her on meds for it. Doctors have done everything from checking her heart, her blood pressure and other things, but they have not found anything they put her on anxiety meds and she is getting better. You should look into things maybe do a search on the web on anxiety they have tests on there to see if that is a possability. Misty
Guest guest
I honestly do believe that this all stems from the flu shot. This is only the 2nd one I've had, and only at the request of my boss at work. Last year, I had similar symptoms, but not to this degree by far. I will never get another flu shot again, just because I believe so strongly that is the cause of my problems. I'm taking baths twice a week with epsom salts already. I still have to go back to the neuro in two weeks to go over the tests for MS. - Darla Starkey Saturday, February 23, 2008 9:39 AM Re: symptoms update Before I read anything below regarding a recent flu shot (working backwards), but as I read only your current symptoms, my first thought was heavy metal poisoning. If one's immune system is already compromised, doesn't make a lot of sense to compromise it further. I suppose it might be different if one works in a hospital or any other place where there are a lot of sick people, though. If you DO have MS, or something like it, a flu shot could've been the catalyst - not the cause - for what's going on now. While it could be coincidental that your symptoms began the day after, logic would say it's not. But, I doubt if there would be any definitive way to prove it. The most important thing now, is to find out what's causing your symptoms now, and work with that. You know, it's not an unnatural thing to get depressed, to want to scream and/ or shout when your body is breaking down and/or you don't know what's going on with it. Well, even if you do...*smile* . It's also not unusual if you DO wind up having MS. Even if your MRI doesn't show the plaques associated with it, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't have MS. There are many with the diagnosis who are atypical. While I realize it's probably not popular on a group such as this, over the years I've had all the major anti-depressants at one time or another. Frankly, though, St. John's Wort has worked as well for me as have any prescription anti-depressants. I think the only reason I've tried prescription anti-depressants, is because the ones I took were supposed to help with pain control as well. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your comments. I have learned so much from this group already. - Lynn Ward Tuesday, February 26, 2008 1:18 PM Re: symptoms update At 12:12 PM 2/26/2008, you wrote:Neve,I've had MS for years, and have always been cautioned not to get the flu shots. Lynn I honestly do believe that this all stems from the flu shot. Good luck, Darla - Neve Friday, February 22, 2008 9:24 AM [sPAM] symptoms update I wanted to send an update on my condition, because so many people sent me replies. Doctors being who they are will always tell you it could not be from any medication they have perscribed for you. I worked for an elderly gentleman for 2 years. He got the flu shot every year and was always sick the whole winter. He decided not to get the flu shot and he was not sick that winter at all nor the next 2. People can react to drugs big time. I speak from experience. Doctors tell you this is good for you and should you choose to disagree they become very upset that you dare to question them. No I have never had a flu shot. Never want one either. The children of the world are being poisoned along with the adults and all the pets that are owned by people. It is a drug world run by the big pharmacy companies that are making money hand over fist. They do not care that the vaccinations that the children are being given are full of toxicity and is causing mutiple problems. The flu shot will only cover a few strains of flu and there are many strains that the flu shot is not covering. Taking vitamins, other supplements eating healthy that will keep you healthy. I am sorry you are on this path but I think if you look around you will find lots of information that can get you healthy. I wish you all the best. I have overall fatigue most of the time. I have fybromyalgia and hashimoto's thyroid disease. My blood pressure has also been very high, with the lower number averaging in the high 90's-low 100's.
