I don't think the police are going to go and stun little kids that are playing in their back yards. But the kids that are walking around carrying weapons, the police need to protect themselves. No not all officers are exemplary but the kids are allowed to run rampant and out of control. It is sad to see little 2 year olds taking off from the parents and not stopping when they are told. If they are so out of control at 2 what are they going to be like when they are 12? Seeing little kids kick their parents and the parents not doing much of anything to keep control of the situation. It is indeed a very sad world we live in. Kids not knowing bounaries. Nor respecting law and order. I am very afraid for this world if things do not turn around. Guest guest
You know, tasers are, for the most part, illegal for a regular citizen to own and carry but... I am thinking about getting one and if I see any cop-per using one out of line (here in the states), he just may receive a dose of his own (mis)treatment. This also goes for pepper spray. Okay, I know that someone is going to say that their doing wrong doesn't make it okay for me to do the same... well, it will send them a message. Guest guest
I was a bit concerned when i read this story about the UK police and taser. I have checked with a reliable source and they confirm that there is no truth in it. What I was told however is that if a child looks over 18 then the police can use that excuse and use a taser. Guest guest
Think of the times there were no cameras to catch what was happening. What if the bad guys started carrying tasers to rob people? I think they are a bad idea all the way around for anyone including [especially] cops to have. Our bodies are electric in nature so what is that doing to people !! There was a pregnant woman tasered over and over!!!! That can't be good for the baby! The Stanford Prison Experiment http://www.prisonexp.org/ tells a lot about human nature and power. Guest guest
Yes but I know several 14 and 15 year olds that could very easily pass for 19 and 20. The children now a days look so much older then they actually are, perhaps there is a reason? You bet there is! All in the perception of the police officer to make that judgment call? I would not like to leave that up to them... Thank-you. Guest guest
Well yes we have read here that children are enduring puberty as low as 8, they have many reasons to mature far too early, vaccines, chemicals, TV, poisons in food and drinking water and air - many wear make-up, generally behaviour is unchecked and unpleasant - well thats all we hear about in the News - parents are not permitted or not willing to discipline their children - what do you really expect? Police have to use violence! They possibly do not have time to reason with the violent youth - they are too busy fining the parents for driving a few meters over the speed limit! Guest guest
I can't even begin to imagine what would happen to a parent if they did that to one of their teenagers when the kid threw a tantrum.
