Guest guest
Well, because my husband has been on all the other medications that M/A will pay for the last one before lithium is tegretol. He has been on it for about 3 weeks and was on 600 mg. Monday we had a scare. The medication warns of a skin rash that if left unidentified it could be fatal (they call it stevens-johnson syndrome). So best believe I was watching him all along and Monday night he had a skin rash all over his body! I freaked but no doc's were open at the time. So on Tuesday he goes to work and they sent him home because of the rash and I had him calling his doc's to find out what to do. Well they immediately pulled him off his medication. Was told to take benadryl and he got his doc not to release him back to work today. That crap has got to get out of his system now and in doing that it's prob. gonna be very stressful at our home once again, joy joy. I put him on fish oil for now and I have no idea what else the doc's are going to do. There is nothing they can give us apparently other than stupid lithium and once he's on that he can never get off of it, not to mention the drooling that some patients have that are on it. I don't want him to be a drooling zombie we want him to be calm and loving which everyone's had the pleasure of getting the last few weeks. Looking at getting him on the right supplements and that's going to be some serious research! Right now Kava Kava is an option but it would have to be in high doses which can affect his liver. I could almost cry and actually I'm amazed I haven't already. Almost want to say he is severely bi-polar (both manic/depressive) heck we'll sprinkle a little adhd/add on top of that too! I had threatened to leave him if he doesn't get help. With what little time he was on tegretol I was able to experience him normal once again and that hasn't happened in 6 years!! I'm mad about all of this. I don't even know what to say anymore. I could just cry!!! This is not fair to me or our children let alone to my husband. Guest guest
Sounds like he really needs to clean up his digestive system - LOTS of plant-based enzymes, lots of probiotics, whole food micronutrients for nutrition. Let me know if you want suggestions as to which ones work. , " Tizzy " <tash_75_99 wrote: > > Well, because my husband has been on all the other medications that > M/A will pay for the last one before lithium is tegretol. I totally agree. It might even be a good idea for him to do some internal cleansing and detoxification in conjunction with these things. >>Let me know if you want suggestions as to which ones work. Would you please share your suggestions here with all of us? I'd like very much to hear your experiences and recommendations in these areas. Thanks, elan
