The least dangerous fish for you to eat, as far as pollution and heavy metals are:Anchovies, Calamari, Catfish, clams, Cod (Arctic), Crab, Crawfish or Crayfish, flounder, haddock, Hake or Herring, Mackerel, Oyster, mullet, Perch (Ocean kind), Pollock, salmon, sardine, scallop, sole, tilapia, trout—the freshwater ones, whitefish, and whiting. Medium Polluted with heavy metals and PCBs,Bass—striped and black, Carp, Cod (Alaskan), Croaker (white pacific), Lobster, Mahi Mahi, Monkfish, Perch (freshwater) Sablefish, Skate, Snapper, Tuna (canned chunk lightr, skipjack), Sea Trout. The heavily polluted ones are:Bluefish, GrouperMackerel (King, Spanish, and Gulf) Marline, Orange Roughy, Seabass (Chilean), Shark, Swordfish, Tilefish, Tuna (Yellowfin or Ahi or Bigeye or canned Albacaore), Just in case you want to know.
