Even short-term use can lead to bounceback pain, which often convinces people that they really need the pills. These days, I use a lot of magnesium oil for body pain. Works great and I don't have to waste money on a doctor. > Darla > > > > - > B Magnatta > > Thursday, January 03, 2008 8:08 PM > [sPAM] I don't know whats going on but I don't like it!!!! > > > Husband that fell 5 feet in a hole and damaged his arm has been given vicadin as a prescription for pain. > He took it after a few days finally because he was in so much pain he couldn't sleep. I was worried about that because I have a family member that became addicted to the substance and it ended their marriage!... Well, after he took the medication for his arm he was able to sleep but he said I didn't do anything for the pain!... His arm was sore again the day after cause he aggravated it in a near fall on the ice. He took it again and so I could see the effect during the day light hours when I could see his eyes and his behaviour. I was curious to see what was so addicting about the substance. We all noticed that he was smiling a whole lot more than usual but the pain was not subsiding! A pain pill that didn't take the pain away??? What was it for then? It took 3 days for me to get him to try just plain ibuprofen in place of the vicadin. Finally he did cause he actually wanted relief from the pain. He took 600 mg of that and said ibuprofen was much better !! > > Im just angry. Pain pills are toxic but whats going on about vicadin? Do they prescribe it just to hook people on it and pretend that pain is the reason for taking it? The bottle is being dumped. My son tells me that it has a street value of 5 dollars a pill.... There's just got to be something wrong with vicadin... > > > I am glad for the advice we have gotten on this website ... Guest guest
YOu can ask him to pay for drug rehab for you. That might make things change quicker. We have been given a tip to use serrapeptase and bromelain for taking swelling down on this page. We are grateful for that. It took the pain down fast. He is now in physical rehab and have yet to determine if he needs surgery but he is recuperating so fast that It's beginning to look like he may not need surgery. His MRI showed a chipped bone in the shoulder, a torn labrum and a full thickness rotator cuff tear. He is making measurable progress every day! I am sorry you're going through the struggles that you have with your surgeries and recovery and having to deal with the drug pushers too... Keep us posted!..
