December 27, 2007Dear Friends and Valued Customers,In the quest to find a cure for colon cancer, researchers study every aspect of the disease trying to find common traits that may cause the disease, as well as treatments that may destroy it. It’s a big task, yet an important one.According to the Mayo Clinic website: “Colon cancer is cancer of the large intestine (colon), the lower part of your digestive system. Rectal cancer is cancer of the last six inches of the colon. Together, they’re often referred to as colorectal cancers. About 112,000 people are diagnosed with colon cancer annually, and about 41,000 new cases of rectal cancer are diagnosed each year.”One piece of the colon cancer puzzle may be insufficient levels of B vitamins in the body, according to a study published in The Journal of Nutrition. Find out more in the report I am presenting below.I also take a look at another study titled: “L-carnitine treatment reduces severity of physical and mental fatigue and increases cognitive functions in centenarians.” It was presented recently in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. The study shows how L-carnitine may help the elderly enjoy a better lifestyle.I trust these two studies will help broaden your knowledge and keep you up-to-date on the latest research going on here and overseas. As always, I wish you the very best of health,Lee Swanson
