Guest guest
This guy is going to be our next president! I'm for sure voting for him, how about you all? Check his views on health - everything I agree with. He doesn't want to take away our healthy options, he wants people to have access to alternative methods, unlike all the option candidates. GO RON! Guest guest
Yep, got to figure this letter is meant as tongue in cheek. But as a supporter of Ron, I must ask for clarification of a conflict in one of his policies vs. actions..ok, " dirt " , maybe, maybe not..here it comes: Sometime back in 2002, Ron delivered a speech entitled " Is America A Police State " (http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2002/cr062702.htm) and the following is merely one statement from a bunch: " Over 80,000 federal bureaucrats now carry guns to make us toe the line and to enforce the thousands of laws and tens of thousands of regulations that no one can possibly understand. We don't see the guns, but we all know they're there, and we all know we can't fight " City Hall, " especially if it's " Uncle Sam. " " In conflict with this statement condemning the Police State, is his bill HR 3304. " For example, the American Federation of Police -- with well over 100,000 members -- recently praised Ron Paul for introducing a bill that would help cops obtain topnotch body armor that would withstand rounds fired from most firearms. Rep. Paul's bill -- HR 3304 -- would amend the Internal Revenue Code to provide for a tax credit to law enforcement officers who purchase their own body armor. " http://ronpaul.meetup.com/185/boards/view/viewthread?thread=3813052 So, with the militarization of the civilian police, which we all know has happened in the past few years, we now have a bill which will allow them to purchase bigger and better body armor and get a tax credit for it (anybody remember when Congress tried to pass a similar bill to make it illegal for civilians to own body armor?). These same police can now carry guns on airplanes on their vacations, business trips, whatever, but you and I as law abiding citizens cannot. Federal law, civilian police...Now what would have been this police response had Ron put this bill forward to give a tax credit to all tax payers instead of this select group? And remember this is a tax credit, not a deduction. The money comes off the taxes due at one hundred percent of cost. This is the same bunch of guys and gals that are now breaking in their tazers on the old, the very young and infirm regularly these days. The harassment quotient has gone up exponentially since 911, and the passage of the Pat Acts. We hear talk of martial law almost every day now, and Ron mentions it in that same speech already cited. These are the same guys and gals that are going to be involved in whatever martial law plans are implemented. Why then would Ron want to make it so much more difficult for us, the law abiding citizen, to resist this usurpation of our greatest right of all, our Freedom? I hold this man to a much higher standard than to merely state its " vote buying " or he is " naive " as to who will implement the Police State. So, dirt maybe, maybe not...and he's my candidate too...I'd just like this one explained a bit. And I have asked before to no avail. -
Guest guest
I don't even SEE a candidate that has our interests. We have to start voting four our city elections and stop letting the weirdos through to get too close to even be on the presidential elections.
