Guest guest
Thanx for everyone's email on ear candling. I got together with a friend who had done it before and we candled our ears. It was relaxing and felt slightly warm. Afterwards it seems that what I was hearing sounded crisper. We used the better quality candles and none of the candle wax dripped. Afterwards it seemed there was brown ear wax and a white powder in the base of the candle. Some sites say this white powder is from the wax and muslin burning, and some sites say it is Candida. What do you think? I suppose I could look at it under the microscope and if I see yeast buds, then I would know. Anyway, it was fun trying something new and my friend and I had some good bonding time. Guest guest
Now after I'm done candling the kids' ears I put 3 drops of warmed Willow/Garlic Oil for ear support or if I don't have that on hand I put olive oil in the ear. That way if there is anything left in there it softens it up and comes out. I do this before bed time and if there ever was anything left in there (very very rare) you'll find it usually on the pillow. (nasty yes but it's out of the ear). , shantigirl38 wrote: > > Make sure you keep your ears warm and dry for the next few days. > > > > **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest > products. > (http://money.aol.com/special/hot-products-2007?NCID=aoltop00030000000001) >
Guest guest
Ear Candles are wonderful and painless. You should have someone train you to do it, very simple. Really simple to use and you can order it through Cosmopro. Go online and I think they have a how to do book also. Good Luck! Guest guest
There was a program on PBS, about a man in south La. that people would bring babies to, screaming from ear pain. He put an elastic band around the forehead, and gently blows smoke into the ear. After a few times, the baby stops screaming and tugging at the ear. Mothers' report no more ear pain in the little ones. The proceedure was called, Ear Candling. teddycassi wrote: Thanx for everyone's email on ear candling. Guest guest
If you put a little warm peroxide (3%) in the ear and leave it for awhile it softens up the wax. You can use a small syringe to flush.Magnolia Rouge <magnoliarouge47 wrote: There was a program on PBS, about a man in south La. that people would bring babies to, screaming from ear pain. Guest guest
Hey Jane The orangy stuff is ear wax and plenty comes out of my ears. Did a lot of neighbors and they did say it improved their hearing.............. June - Jane MacRoss Tuesday, December 04, 2007 12:43 PM Re: Ear Candling My daughter had it done and did it subsequently to her family - you can buy the candles at HFS here - what puzzled her was that the "gunk" that allegedly comes out of the ear and is evident in the candle appears when you don't put the candle in your ear too - she didn't notice any effect. The blurb sounds great tho Jane - teddycassi Wednesday, December 05, 2007 2:26 AM Ear Candling Does anyone have any experience with ear candling? Guest guest
I don't suppose that candling will help an ear infection, will it? I had to get a (ear drop) prescription that cost me $107. Grrrrrr! Kenneth T - Tizzy Tuesday, December 04, 2007 10:42 PM Re: Ear Candling I'm a mother of 4 and I have been doing ear candling for the last fewyears. With my oldest son he kept getting ear aches and we seemed tobe putting him on med's all the time. Then a family member told meabout it and I got the sticks at the local health store and I haven'twoken up to a child crying in the night unable to sleep due to an earache in years. You may also be able to get the ear candles at anAmish store. There they suggested massaging below and on the side ofthe ear your about to do and down the neck. I still have no clue whybut hey it can't hurt and the children love massages, lol. The CONside of this is sometimes depending on the persons ear (my husbandsdrains it's nasty) you may use up one whole stick. It can gets prettyhot when the candle get's close to the ear so we use a cut out(wheather it's thick cardboard or something else)to cover that side ofthe head/hair and always have a wet paper towel to put it out if youblow it out it really smells up the house. Also the tip can callapswhen placed in the ear so watch for smoke coming up out of the earhole you want to make sure there's a good seal. They will have theinstructions where ever you get the ear candle. You can have someonedo it to you and that way you'll learn what your watching andlistening for :)Good Luck! It's really beneficial when used right.Tash , teddycassi wrote:>> Does anyone have any experience with ear candling? I would love tohear pros > and cons and your experience. Guest guest
I read that turmeric works like an antibiotic. I have been using for an abscess tooth recovery along with the penicillin. The turmeric sped up the recovery!... No wonder chicken soup's so healthy. It typically has turmeric in it!>... Hehe..
