Guest guest
Hi Tammy My heart goes out to all of you! About the insomnia and other brain- related problems, I would investigate wheat. Many times, people, especially children, react to wheat adversely and it shows up as depression, OCD, insomnia, etc. Try substituting brown rice or oatmeal instead, for good healthy complex carbohydrates. And make sure they have plenty of whole grains for breakfast! Not eating breakfast throws everything off for the whole day. It's like trying to start a car on an empty gas tank. But eliminate wheat for a month, substituting different other whole grains instead, and see what happens. Also, I suffered from severe clinical depression for 11 years, starting at the age of 14. I had been on Zoloft for 8 of those years. I, too, had suffered from insomnia, anxiety, anger, obsessive thoughts, etc. I stumbled " accidentally " on relief via consuming salmon. It re-balances, replaces, and rebuilds brain chemicals, especially those responsible for mood. The removal of sugar was a good idea, as refined sugar/corn syrup/etc elevates the anxiety response, throws off brain chemistry, and adds to worry, obsession, and sleeplessness. Also for sleeplessness, have you tried twig tea? I get it from my local health food store. The twig should be the ONLY ingredient. It has a slightly bitter taste, try a little honey for a sweeter. Otherwise, it worked VERY well for me. If any family members have hot tempers or skin rashes, then instead of honey, substitute agave nectar (available at a health food store, it's the sweet nectar of the agave plant) or stevia (either powder or liquid form, you may want to do the latter for this application, it's the incredible safe herbal-only sweetner, also available at a health food store). And to save money, we shop at either " ethnic " grocery stores for a wonderful, inexpensive, and varied diet. We'll make a stop at an Indian grocery store, a Chinese or Japanese grocery store, etc. We have access to foods we can't find at regular grocery or health food stores, and it's MUCH cheaper, and usually healthier, as there are more raw ingredients available, and you can get non-perishables in bigger family sizes. After that, we head to the health food store and shop in only the bulk and produce sections. We avoid packaged foods that are devoid of nutrients and much more expensive per volume. For TONS of nutrition at a low cost, get a juicer and some wheatgrass! Two OUNCES of wheatgrass has all the nutrients of 2.2 POUNDS of raw broccoli! Talk about bang for your buck! Hang in there! May you soon find peace and prosperity. Blessings, --Jen (aka Jyoti) herbal remedies , " joe cline " <susabean@q...> wrote: > Hi. I hope you all can help me. My husband has been terminated without cause from work (a budget cutting thing) and we are without medical insurance. We have a variety of maladies going on here, which I will list below. Basically, I need help with treating these things without meds, and without spending a great deal of money, which we do NOT have right now.
