Guest guest
I have been struggling with swollen eustacian tubes (as a result of sinus problems) for ages. Tried the steroid spray the doctor recommended but it didn't help much. I've been using saline spray and other more natural remedies but nothing seems to be helping now. Any ideas? Thank you, Lori
Guest guest
Check your ingredients on the Saline solution, if it doesn't have Zylitol in it go to a health food store and get one that has it in there. Studies show Zylitol helps with sinus infection, as well as helping your teeth and used as a sweetner, also try a Neti Pot for your sinus'. Guest guest
I know I dont write to the list. Ive been really busy with school. But with a netti pot you have to be really careful or you can get the solution in your ear canals. You have to be very careful about the blowing of the excess solution you can really hurt the ear drums. I know been there done that when I first started using a netti pot. They really work great and are the best thing I have ever had to help with sinuses. If you live in a very dry climate you should do this daily because you dont have the moisture to help fight the bugs. Your sinuses can really get infected with a dry climate. We moved from a climate that had moisture to the desert of NV and my sinuses instantly were infected. I tried everything. Then finally found a product called sinucleanse at Walgreens. The best thing and save my sinuses. Sorry to but in here but I really love the netti pot. Now Ive never heard of Zylitol before I am going to have to try that out. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Gina, You haven't butted in, I didn't know about the ear canal thing, I live in a dry climate, Denver, Co. Zylitol is a sugar substitute, looks and tastes like sugar, and can be used interchangeably for sugar, has no after taste. There are tooth pastes ( Tom's of Maine, I think is one) with Zylitol in them and I believe it's called Clear a spray for the nose. I'll look and see if I can find the paper I had on Zylitol, if I can I'll post it. If not I'll go get another. Guest guest
Artifical? Hey, zylitol is not artifical..its a sugar type (starch) coming from berries, roots and so on....its pretty natural and breaks down to glucose, like sucrose and other sugar types would do. Just that sorbitol and zylitol have less carbohydrates than sucrose and glucose etc. We call it xylitol here.... Ok I did a search on zylitol and its a sugar alcohol....hmmm I dont know enough about sugar alcohols to say much about that....its something I need to do research on...I only found a site with a spiritual channeling from " Sananda " who said that one should not use sugar alcohol and thats not a scientifical report, LOL W9 herbal remedies , " Lisa de Haas " <lisa@l...> wrote: > I wouldn't recommend ANY artificial sugar substitute! > Lisa
Guest guest
Perhaps you should do some investigation before making that assumption. Much safer than sugar and is similar to Stevia.
