I had a question for a freind.He has been having rectal bleeding the past couple months.He will tell me he will be going about his daily buisness and feel a sensation,go to the toilet and wipe blood.About 5 years ago he was hospitalized for having his colon blow out.I think he had a tear,anyhow they just monitored it but never came to a conclusion,gave him antibiotics and it improved.Hes been diagnosed with IBS and says he cant eat in the am,gets nervous on the way to work with driving and then hell have the symptoms.Tells me his stools are soft as well.He also complained of urinary incontigence..he leaks urine too.He is 37 and has recently been clean a couple months from cocaine and amphetamine addiction,also he used to take estrogen and has been off that a few years.Im mentioning this all because perhaps it could all be related or maybe hes having side effects now from those years of abuse,hes taking an interest now in being healthy and is eating alot of japanese food and sushi as part of his diet.Can anyone recomend what would be advisable for him to eat or a cleanse perhaps?Im concerned that with these symptoms theyd suggest surgery or something.If he has a tear in his colon could certain foods,supplaments repair that....? thanks so much in adavance for any feedback! esther Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Has he had a doctor rule out the more serious causes? It is certainly not a symptom to ignore. But once the more lethal causes are ruled out, I would concentrate on really cleansing and adjusting diet, along with exercise that helps digestion. In order to terminatedly handle this, he really needs to overhaul his style of living, improve his diet, and yes, cleanse his body.
