Guest guest
Does anyone have any experience with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? I've listened to the CD and I'm working hard at changing environmental things and eating habits. I'm looking for some supplements that may help with this disorder. Any ideas? Guest guest
Both my dd's have OCD. I have heard good things about Insolitol(sp?) but you have to take it in pretty high dosages. Look up Insolitol and OCD on google and see what you find. Insolitol is a B vitamin. I haven't tried it yet, but others have said it works very well. Guest guest
I would suggest reading a book called The Mind and The Brain by Jeffery Schwartz M.D.. He has had some very positive results in curing OCD by using a variation on Buddhist Awareness meditation. An excellent read for anyone actually. He has other books preceding this one which are even more focused on OCD.
Guest guest
Hi Char, I don't know a whole lot about OCD yet, but I struggle w/ anxiety & depression & pms so I've been doing research & trying some things. You may want to try looking into Kava Kava and Passion Flower. I've read in at least one place of Kava Kava helping w/ OCD (along w/ generalized anxiety & phobias). I tried it myself & I bought the tincture, but blech! It tastes so terrible I couldn't drink it! In the meantime, I've been trying Passion Flower (in capsule form) which has really been helping me to feel relaxed and calm in stressful situations. Oh, and one other thing I've heard that can help w/ OCD is Rescue Remedy. It is a combination of 5 flower essenses that is supposed to help calm fear based emotions. I have this too, and so far I don't think it works that well for me, but I keep it in my purse just in case. Guest guest
Hi Erica, Have you looked at / tried Doc's Female Formula? If you suffer from PMS, the other symptoms may well be caused by the same imbalance of your hormones. love Lisa - de Jong family herbal remedies Tuesday, July 12, 2005 7:00 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Any Remedies for OCD?
