Guest guest Posted July 11, 2005 Report Share Posted July 11, 2005 Hi All, I can say that I have never " dieted " ... I have never needed to lose weight. Just has never been the issue. I have just sought optimal energy/health. I have always just sought to eat right and what I felt was right for me. I knew over 25 years ago to stay away from processed foods, but I have let them creep in and out of my life. I am 40 yrs old now. I have started reading the above book and I do like it and I like the viewpoint. It has answered -or put into words- some of the problems I see with medical approaches --and yes! even the alternative practices! I find myself throwing aside a lot of what I have received from alternative doc's based on nothing more than what I can say is " knowingness " (for example; blood work and hair analysis done... doc says 'you need more potassium. here is a prescription for it.' I never filled it. It just did not indicate to me.) Anyway, I am looking for viewpoints, successes (or no-successes) and general feedback. I'm only half way through, but I like what I am reading so far. I am very interested in putting it into practice and evaluating the results for myself.
