Need help re: Water & Air Ozonators

I'm new to the group and haven't read a lot of the messages yet, but I

feel compelled to share something I read about ozonators. In my

studies of natural medicines I have come across some text (I can't

remember which book) that tells of the high volatility of ozone.

Ozone, or O3, is highly unstable and will react with delicate tissues,

specifically those of the lungs and will destroy such tissue. This

can lead to cancers. Therefore, ozonators are quite detrimental to

your health and should not be used in confined spaces.

 

Now, I don't know for sure if this is true, but when you think of the

chemistry behind it all it makes sense that this is an unstable

compound and should be given its space. After all, what ozone does

to " get rid " of bad smells is to simply change their molecular

structure so as to mask the smell from our olfactory senses. The

smell remains but we just can't detect it.

 

When it comes to wanting to make a space smell nicer I have heard of

such methods as placing activated charcoal in the said room to absorb

the bad smell. I still have to try that one, but at least it doesn't

cost much and won't harm you.

 

On the other hand you talked about oxygen therapy. I'm not sure what

that would be, but it doesn't sound harmful because oxygen is a

stable molecule. I don't think that it would cause any health

problems, but you may want to do your own further research into the

chemistry of both methods because these things I shared I have only

heard about and read, I don't hold a degree in any of these areas and

certainly don't represent the expert opinion.
