Hello,

My 12 year old daughter has had a stinging feeling while urinating. It

doesn't happen all the time, but has occurred off and on since last

Wed. Any ideas on what might help her? Thank-you!

Maybe kidney infection? Don't know I would go and take her the doctor, but in the meantime I would start on some red cranberry juice, ltyler62000 <LTyler6 wrote:

Keeping the child only on watermelon will help ovrcome the problem, even though today the chid may be fine. Cut water melon in 1" size pieces and keep in the refrigerator covered with a lid. Give one piece eery hour from morning till the child goes to sleep[. After 4-5 hours starting this, there can be lot of urination, which is a good sign.

Wish you all the best.ltyler62000 <LTyler6 wrote:

Linda,

This could be the beginnings of a urinary tract infection. Cranberry concentrate (not the juice, which is high in sugar) can help to stave it off. Also, high doses of vitamin C, and tons of water.

It sounds like a bladder infection. I am very suseptible to them

myself. I take cranberry capsules from the health food store at the

max. doseage. Drink lots of water to help flush out the infection.

You can also drink cranberry juice, but I find the capsules work

better. Keep taking the capsules for a few days after she is feeling

better. If left untreated the infection will spread to the kidneys

and then it is really painful and harder to treat. Hope this helps!

hi,

i get frequent urinary tract infections and i usually tell one is starting by the stinging feeling, i flush my system with the strongest % of conctrated cranberry juice and drink that for 2-3 days with lots of water. the taste is bitter but if you get the white versin it is not effective, i have found. the brand i use is northland and it is about 2.88 at walmart for a 64 oz bottle, it is also 100% juice and has a 27% of cranberry which is the highest concentration i can find. i hope your daughter get better soon.

Sounds like the beginning of a Urinary Tract Infection. Some Cranberries or

juice (with as little sugar as possible) should help.

The cranberries are good also 2 teaspoons of lemon in

each glass of water she drinks and also take away the

juice and pop and make sure she drinks atleast 5-8

Hi,

I agree with the other replies it's Bladder or Urinary Tract infection.

I've had problems with these in the past, and after doing the

Antibiotics, Cranberry, TONS of water, I still had some lingering

problems.

D-Mannose was what wiped it out for me! Do a search and you will find

much information on this.

No sugar and a healthy diet is vital to the immune response also.

Good luck with it~
