Hives: What type of herbal remedies are available?

My F-I-L has a flare of hives off and on for six months. He has been

actually hospitalized for days, released, then again hospitalized. He has

been treated by the whole realm of orthodox western medicine. I am

wondering what types of herbal remedies may offer him relief, and so he

may decrease the steriods he is taking. Please help.

This is only my opinion. Change to a whole-live food diet - no refined foods, sugar, grains, dairy, etc. Eat lots of foods with antioxidants (like berries, broccoli, others can add to this list). He might want to supplement with a food based antioxidant for a while. I used to get a lot of rashes (not exactly hives), but I have not had problems with that now since I follow a healthy diet. This is not an over-night cure. It will take time to heal his body. I would also suggest doing the total body cleanse to eliminate the toxins from his body.
