Guest guest
Hi all my father has been a diabetic for many years now, and was told that he needs to start dialysis. However we found a doctor in that claims that with herbal medicine and accupuncure he can help him regenerate his kidneys. so now he is refusing to start his dialysis and wants to wait to see if this doctor can realy help him. Has anyone heard that organs do regenerate with herbal medicine?
Guest guest
Hi Martha, My dad is also on dialysis. I am an acupuncture student and I spoke with some of my teachers to find out if acpuncture and herbs could help him when he was first diagnosed. Basically, if it is VERY early (meaning kidney failure has begun, but dialysis is not necessary) acupuncture and herbal medicine can regenerate the kidneys. However, if dialysis is needed there is not much to be done as far as regeneration goes. The best that can be done is to give acu and herbs to support the body and prevent some of the side effects of kidney disease. Congestive heart failure is common, as well as urinary retention. These can both be helped with acpuncture and herbs, although the best remedy is to eat a strict diet with little protein and phosphorus. Hope this helps, Tonia On 6/10/05, Martha Magcasi <qtz1972 wrote: > Hi all my father has been a diabetic for many years now, and was told > that he needs to start dialysis.
