rosehips as source of vitamin C

Hi, I'm doing a course of treatment for Lyme disease that involves high

dosages of oral vitamin C, and it's working well.

Store-bought supplements of natural vitamin C are incredibly expensive,

and many use rosehip as a base. Since there are plenty of rosehips in my

neighborhood I was wondering how to process them to keep them without

spoilage, without reducing their content of vitamin C?

Any ideas would be very much appreciated!!

When I was a child my mother used to make rose hip syrup. I'm sure

there will be recipes on the internet if you google for it. I remember

gathering rose hips for it, and enjoying the resulting syrup.
