I highly recommend the Jewelweed also. I am always one for something

natural that is proven without side effects. Jewelweed is just that.

There are many, many sites that offer info and Jewelweed products

(soap especially) and MANY testimonies. This stuff stops poison oak

itch/problems dead.

Hi again,

Should have done this before, but here it is now. I like this link

because it talks about NOT making a tincture with alcohol and why and

why you should not purchase any Jewelweed sprays in an alcohol base...

Also shows a pic of the Jewelweed (how to use it fresh if you have any

growing around you) and also gives a wonderful tip on preparing the

tincture and then freezing it in ice cube trays...

Great info, but there is more out there too.

Good Morning everyone.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial weekend, I know

that I did. I had so much fun that I forgot to watch

out for the perils of poison oak. I now have a severe

I mean severe break out on my right arm, that is red, swollen

and very blistery. My left arm is bad, but no nearly as bad

as my right. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have been

using chamomile on it, and it has been working for some of

the pain and redness. The swollen blisters don't seem to be

going away though. Any suggestions would be great.

The heat and pain is almost unbearable at times. thanks ahead of

time for all your help. Always.

See if you can find a product, probably in a health food store, that has Jewelweed in it or if you are in a part of the country that it grows, you can mash the leaves and put on as a poltice. I hear it works wonders. You can go online to google and type in jewel weed it will send you to sites.

Hi Vallee,

....relieved my husband of this one

The most effective topical healer I found was my ALOE VERA Plant

I simply split the leaves of the plant and applied the gel copiously all over the infected area.

Between applications I kept the area clean with a NON-OIL Soap and cold water

(oil soaps spread the urushiol)

The other healing therapy was swimming in the ocean

(Ocean water is effective because of its neutralizing therapy)

(We were in the right place at the right time when it happened)

Thanks, I have tried aloe, but it is not doing

enough at this time. I wish I were at an ocean

right now, for many reasons including this one.
