Guest guest
Here is some info from the site listed below on Kiwi allergies Kiwi fruit has been reported to cause allergic symptoms (16), anaphylaxis (15) and laryngospasm and pruritus (6). Gall et al. (19) reported patient sera showing cross-allergenicity by Specific IgE inhibition between kiwi and other fruits, seeds and pollens. Pollen allergic individuals appeared to be prone to develop allergy to kiwi fruit. However, in a report of patients suffering IgE-mediated anaphylactic reactions to kiwi, no relationship to pollinosis was seen (24). http://www.labspec.co.za/l_fruit1.htm#Kiwi Take care, Kelly ----- Original Message ----- wolfprincess68 To: herbal remedies Sent: Wednesday, June 01, 2005 8:50 PM Subject: Herbal Remedies - Food Allergy Can anyone tell me why all of a sudden one would develop a reaction to fresh fruit? This boggles my mind. I have never been allergic to anything and now whenever I eat a kiwi, my throat gets very irritated and my ears block up a little bit. Just wondering if anyone has any insights.
