Natural bile acid control

Hello,

I've had Crohn's disease for almost 20 years. In 1993 I had a radical

resection of the ileum involving about a foot each of large and small

bowel. Since then, I've been on cholestyramine resin to bind the bile

acid since the uptake site was removed. Without it, life deteriorates

in less than 24 hours. My question is this: Is there a natural

product I could grow or buy or find or harvest or whatever that could

replace this? I ask since I've run out once or twice because the

pharmacy was back-ordered, or I got stranded overnight. Currently I'm

taking 4mg twice a day. I've read that a mixture of saponins might do

the trick, but there are literally dozens out there.

Any info would be VERY appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Gord
