Guest guest
Well I took my last med last night I'm totally off of them now. The only thing I take now besides fish oil b c and zinc and garlic is altace. I believe I will have to take altace for the rest of my life unless someone has a better option. The reason I take altace is not for blood pressure it lowers the amount of protein and blood in my urain. without it my neph doctor would consider putting me on predazone and I will never never take that that is a very dangerous drug. I also stopped drinking diet pop yesterday. Nutrasweet gives me really bad headaches and splenda makes me sick and dizzy. I use stevia in my drinks. I just have to lay off of all sugar now. anyone have any ideas on fructose (SP). I have heard it is better than sugar for u but also that it is worse than sugar so I really dont know. I guess the only real option is stevia here. I had a real good surprise to night also. I had to give a talk at my church a last minute sub and I did not have anything written. I put together a talk in 3 minutes I have not done anything like that since before 92 when I was put on drugs. my mind is so clear and I can really string together ideas now. and I feel really good. I just notice that I have a lot of headaches lately and I wonder if it is the meds draining from my body. I have read here that feverfew I believe it is called is good for headaches, what about willow bark? I and considering doing a total cleanse to rid my body of the last remains of drugs from my system. I do need to do something about these headaches for now however. I start school in less than 5 weeks and I really cant wait to get back into life again. -- Poneyboy
Guest guest
One of the best sugar substitutes is Zylitol, it has the consistancy of sugar and the taste just not the bad stuff. It is also good for your teeth (it is used in gum as well) and tests have shown that it is great for sinus problems. Check it out. Guest guest
The best possible substitutes for sugar are: raw organic honey, organic maple syrup, or stevia. These are NOT manmade products, but all natural. In my opinion those are always the best to go with :-) love Lisa - Poneyboy herbal remedies Thursday, May 26, 2005 10:19 PM Herbal Remedies - done with meds Well I took my last med last night I'm totally off of them now. Guest guest
THAT IS AWESOME!!! Congratulations!! Are you taking Total Nutrition? Drugs strip vitamins from your body, esp B-complex, and you'll need to make sure your body has what it needs to detox and recover from the years of drugs. I would also recommend Panther Piss. Guest guest
Kelli I don't take total nutrition due to the fact that the thought of raw eggs turns my belly. I do use panther piss and have been since I first found out about it on the list. I use organic stuff to make it. I also take a b complex and a second 50mg b6. so I think my bs are alright. I just read in the files section that some supplements are not good for the system however because of the additives they contain, but I usually buy a good brand for supplements so I hope I'm ok on that end. Guest guest
Hi Poneyboy, the raw eggs are a "suggestion" for how to make a good nutritious breakfast with the Total Nutrition. It is NOT a required drinking!!! You can just put the TN in a fruit juice and drink it like that! Total Nutrition will provide your body with the needed building blocks for repairing any wrong in the body. It definitely should be part of certainly any healing process, and optimally should be continued indefinitely. Even if eating totally organic, the depleted soils, the polluted airs, etc., are simply not conducive to our foods growing with rich nutrients anymore, so that our bodies need help in obtaining those. TN is absolutely perfect for this. love Lisa - Poneyboy herbal remedies Friday, May 27, 2005 11:35 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - done with meds KelliI don't take total nutrition due to the fact that the thought of raw eggs turns my belly. Guest guest
Hi, If you don't want the raw eggs in the TN, leave 'em out! Ever since watching the first Rocky movie where he chugs about a dozen raw eggs, I've almost heaved at the thought of even a little bit of raw egg!! LOL! Anyway, I have my TN every morning with Udo's oil and apple juice (orgnanic, of course) and that's it. If I forget or can't get to it because of travel or something, I REALLY notice it. I think it's infinitely better than processed supplements. Anyway, it sounds like you're doing great. It's so good to see people taking control of their own health like you have!! I take about 2 oz organic apple juice, 12 oz water and about a 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries with the TN and blend it and it tastes yummy Bonnie Rogers

Also, many of the supplements on the market today (and/or their formula ingredients) are made by pharmaceutical companies. Those are usually synthetic versions of " vitamins " . IE: synthetic B and E vitamins are produced from coal tar in many cases. I feel that the body doesn't really know what to do with these synthetic versions, and in some cases, they may also be causing harm. If you do purchase vitamin supplements, you could try to find those that are from 100% Whole Foods. Those take the entire food(s) (and all its beneficial components, rather than lab " isolated " components) with which to make the supplement. I believe the body can actually use these types, because they are made from FOOD. The labels on the supplements will indicate the food source(s) the vitamin is made from, if it is derived from food. They are more expensive than the chemical synthetic versions tho. Hope this helps... Jan / Michigan
