Guest guest
I did some looking around on the nets and the fasting thing I could pull up was Tea Tree Oil (melaleuca tree). This is a great topical reliever as well as healer. Vitamin C with the Tea tree should alleviate it and heal it quickly. I'll fire off the link to you out of Forum. Zeb _______________________ Hello, My 10 yr old dd seems to have poison oak. She has an itchy rash, and oozing blisters. This has been going on for several days now, every day she wakes up with more blisters. I have been using aloe vera. Is there anything else I can use? We dealt with this about 6 months ago with both of my girls, a terrible outbreak of poison oak and the Dr. put them on predisone. I really don't want to do that again. Thanks for your help! Guest guest
I know one person that baking soda paste helped. In baking soda add some water to make a paste and apply. Also I found that Clay packs can help to draw toxins out of body. Regards jasmina ltyler62000 <LTyler6 wrote: Hello,My 10 yr old dd seems to have poison oak. I have a cyber friend in Calif. who was suffering terribly from poison oak. I sent her a bar of soap I made and it cleared her right up. The soap had jewelweed in it. Jewelweed grows throughout much of the US and is a natural antidote to poison ivy and poison oak. If you can locate jewelweed and boil it gently in distilled water, and then make a poultice for the effected areas, it may help. Since I'm commenting, I must thank you all for the liberal discourse of information on natural healing. I'm learning so much! Beth

Another reason the soap is good is that it strips the poison ivy oils from the skin. If you were to suspect you came into contact with poison ivy, and you washed with it soon after, it might prevent your getting it. It has to be a strong soap, though. Guest guest
I have used rubbing alcohol immediately after touching poison ivy and it stopped the rash, as alcohol removes all oils from the skin. It also dries the skin and seals the pores so that nothing can get in. Flo
