Dear Deana,

Though you prolly didn't notice it I had mentioned that the detox

could go through the breast feeding milk.

Side solutions:

Red Raspberry Tea. Very cheap.

Dr. Christopher's stuff at discount prices: JUMP ON IT!!!!! They are

excellent products! Some of the best! Good on getting that line. Now make

sure you get it.

Apple Cider Vinegar: Drink a little of this in your water each day.

Replace canned foods with dehydrated foods. Canned have preservatives.

So go heal yourself in other ways.

Since you've started the detox I'd simply get through it. As well as

getting toxins your baby is also getting the vital stuff to get the toxins

out. And the program your doing is not nearly as intensive as it could be.

Last: USE YOUR OWN PERSONAL JUDGEMENT. YOU KNOW IF YOU FEEL BETTER. YOU

KNOW IF YOU FEEL HEALTHIER. So choose your own course.

It's really funny that at any point you could be hit by a car and killed but

we freak out about some other things. If any product you are using warns

against pregnancy during use those I'd set aside. Other than that I don't

think you'll have a problem.

That's my opinion.

Zeb

Hi, just wanted to say that a kind person sent me an off group email letting me

know that if I am still nursing it may not be the time to detox as it could come

thru the milk.

I guess I didnt think detox would harm him but I guess its possible as he has

been crabby as a hmm cant say it (LOL) the past 3 days.

I called my endocrinologist today to see if she would do tests on FREE T3 and

Free T4, not just the TSH and an antibody test done (no sure of name)but it

tells if you have autoimmune thryoiditis, a common problem. I was told that its

important for the baby that I have enough thyroid hormone

circulating.

So the closest I could come to finding all natural was called Armour Thryoid

which I was also looking into a few weeks ago. She however refuses to prescribe

it.

So I finally called a naturopathic doctor. I found that our insurance has this

program called (Alternative Health Care Program) they sell lots of herbal

supplements (like Dr. Christopher formulas) at discount prices as part of the

program. They also have DISCOUNT Alternative health care providers. But... None

for Wisconsin. The lady I spoke with said because Wisconsin Law does not

believe naturopath is a " real " form of health care.

I did find however that the naturopath Doctor I called is a certified MD. They

said it would cost me $200 on the table when I came in for consultation and

visit and that because he is a MD they can send it to insurance and if insurance

will cover him then they will reimburse me. Now to talk hubby into giving me

$200 for the visit :(

So then I tried calling Doc for my free consultation and he wasnt available and

the lady said he prolly wont be till the 1st of June. Just my luck when I am

trying to figure out how to heal my body and not harm my baby in the process.

So now I am back to square one and feel lost. I know my thyroid - and lack of

sex hormone - pain with intercourse - sore neck- and the high adrenalin and the

endimitriosis I had removed are all tied together.

Call a local pharmacist and ask who prescribes Armour in your area. I was first diagnosed with hypo while still nursing. On previous babies I had ample - even more. On my last she had enough but it was a stretch to get much more. I did the T3 only for a time and my milk increase significantly, to the point of needing nursing pads again. It took me a while to find a doctor who would prescribe Armour - he is now my Gyn.

Hi Deana,

I heard you managed to talk for a while with Valorie, Doc's wife, today and that she gave you some advice. That's great! Yes, the Total Nutrition is definitely something you need to go for. It made such a huge difference to me when I first started taking it. It changed me from a grouch to a nice mum LOL. (I just happened to call right after you hung up with Valorie, and I'd asked her about you)

Yes I did. Valorie is very nice. She said even though we cant afford

the total tonic right now (since we are moving and just dished out

$2,000 for security deposit and first month rent.) To make sure I get

some sort of green superfood until I can afford to make or buy the Total

Nutrition so that my body can use the superfood to heal. Now I

understand the importance. I was able to buy Green Goodness and can

continue to buy that untill next month when I can get the total

nutrition. :-)

I am not sure why it would matter if I had adiquate thyroid hormone

going through my breastmilk. What about formula fed babies?? there isnt

thyroid in the formula. I think that was kind of a stretch. Not sure I

like the idea about armor thyroid (animal hormone) not sure I like that

idea. Anyway I told her I can go see a naturapath dr in about a month

or two when our funds are replenished.

I already told hubby that we need to put $210 aside to go see a

naturapath dr. and he was very ok with that.

So even though they have products to sell she still told me to just do

what I can and I very very appreciate that instead of trying to sell me

a product and push it on me which is not what she did at all.

Hugs

Hi Deana,

I'm glad you feel better after the phonecall :-) Sounds like good advice to me! And don't forget the free consult with Doc on 1 June :-)

Yes, Doc and Valorie are more concerned with helping you get your health back, than in selling their products. If they weren't they wouldn't running this website group, or be putting all their recipes free on the website, or give free consults. Naturally, they do need to charge for their products, as they also need to survive themselves LOL, but that is often not their first priority! I've worked with them for ... oh, maybe 4 years now.. and have really enjoyed all their advice and help in improving our health.

Thank you Helen, I am saving your post to remind myself to call the

pharmacist and ask just that if my endocrinologist refuses to work with

me. I had two other testings done today and have to wait for her to

call me in her office in a week and try to push her to prescribe it

then. Your a good women Helen and I totally love the post below your

name. It is a true description of just how life is as a MOM and Wife. :-)
