Guest guest
Kelli, you can use one of those hose like showers and direct the cold water stream. When I do them I use the hottest water I can stand (skin turns dark red, ouchies) and then I start from my feet up and up and up. Then I go to cold water the same way. After the first couple weeks I’ve been able to simply enjoy them though after the 3rd week (as I’d been warned prior) I started having trouble sleeping as I took them just before bedtime. Anyway.. Zeb Jasmina Thank you for the advice. Yes, I do like the therapeutic feeling on my tired thighs!! It’s just that darn cold water. It really takes some self discipline to stay *in* the water. Myohmy! I know it’ll be worth it though. Have a Joyous Day! Kelli
Guest guest
I wanted to encourage everyone who is thinking about having a consult with Doc to DO IT! I had mine two weeks ago. It was wonderful!!! He is very easy to talk to and explains things so that you can understand them. I don’t have many obvious health concerns, but what I do have he was able to tie together in a way that made sense to me. The time he spent on the phone with me was more than worth its weight in gold. So, thanks Doc! I’ve finally started the cleanse and I was wondering something about IC#1. What do the hot/cold showers do for you? So far it seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me. My own personal daily torture. ;-) By the end of all three rounds it’s pretty okay, but the first two shots of cold water – OHMY!!!! I feel like I’m going to hyperventilate from gasping for breath. J Also, I’m making all of the formulae myself from Doc’s recipes. The Total Tonic is fairly hot, is this right? I’m sure I’ll have more questions along the way. Oh, I was in the middle of a respiratory something that’s been going around my area (my husband worked/suffered through it for several weeks) and after taking TT and Echinacea Plus for two days I feel like I’ve almost kicked the whole thing. Two days! I couldn’t believe it. No more sore throats, no more coughing in the morning and at night. Wow! Have a Joyous Day! Kelli
Guest guest
Hi Kelli, I'm on the TBC also, will be starting week 3 tomorrow!! What is the q you have on IC1? I know just what you mean about the hot/cold showers. They make me feel great afterwards, but before and during.....!! I know that partly the hot/cold is to improve circulation, so that the remedies move faster and better in, and the toxins better out! I've also heard that hot/cold is a well known therapy for dealing with tumours! Doc also recommends it for injuries such as joints, bones, and other type pains such as inflammations. So it seems to have a multitude of uses. I normally do NOT like anything that tastes hot, and have difficulty with even 3 drops of cayenne supposedly masked in my Dragon Snot LOL!! However, I have never experienced the TT as being hot. So I'm not sure if this sounds right or not. I'm sure it would be fine to use, but I don't think the recipe calls for it being hot. love Lisa - Kelli herbal remedies Wednesday, May 18, 2005 11:56 PM Herbal Remedies - Consult with Doc and IC#1 I’ve finally started the cleanse and I was wondering something about IC#1. Guest guest
Hi Kelli, I found out that hot/cold showers is the best to have after your rinning or other excercise. If I do another time I have trouble to stay all 7 rounds. Hope this help. Regards JasminaLisa de Haas <lisa wrote: Hi Kelli, I'm on the TBC also, will be starting week 3 tomorrow!! Guest guest
Lisa, I guess my question is about TT that I’m taking during the first week of the cleanse, not the IC#1 formula. I used fresh organic materials: garlic, onion, horseradish, ginger, and habenero peppers blended in ACV and take two dropperfuls three times a day. Wow it burns my throat going down, but only for a minute or two. Maybe I’m more sensitive right now because of coming off of a sore throat. Or maybe I used too much habenero. Maybe my ½ handful of that was closer to ¾ or more. Anyway, if I’ve made it correctly and you think it’s not a problem, then I’ll just live with the heat. J Actually, it didn’t seem as hot this morning as yesterday or the days before. I’ll bet it was my throat. Thanks for the information on the showers. I believe that Doc wouldn’t suggest doing something that wasn’t good for me, but it helps knowing just what good thing the showers are doing. Week 3 – congratulations! Have a Joyous Day! Guest guest
Hi Kelli, In my opinion, if you put too much habenero in the TT, it just will be a bit hottter - I doubt it could do you any harm! You're welcome And thanks for the congrats! love Lisa - Kelli herbal remedies Thursday, May 19, 2005 6:10 PM RE: Herbal Remedies - Consult with Doc and IC#1 Lisa, I guess my question is about TT that I’m taking during the first week of the cleanse, not the IC#1 formula.
