Guest guest
Journal Entry 7 Day 7 -today Layed awake in bed from 9:30pm to 1pm` Extremely sweaty and irratible today , body temperature this morning 96.9 Took 1 capsules Solaray brand Thyroid Blend SP - 26 Herbal Supplement Feel very tired, and gained 3 lbs now already. I been drinking biotine clay in water every two hours. IT IS impossible for me to do the total body cleanse program for the fact that the herbs for the total tonic or not alll available here and no way IN HECK my husband will let me buy it from doc for $44 . I may be able to get the total cleanse 1 but I have also thought about using the cleanseSMART 2 part detox system since it is sold in our Food Coop Organic supermarket. I dont know how you tell if your thyroid is kicking in. My neck is really soar (not my throat) I am reallly sweaty today but have low temperature. I have been doing my research and I think I know the cause of my hypothyroid.: Too much stress, nicotine, (used to smoke - quite 5 years ago) caffeine, skipped meals, (even if all my meals are fresh organic) and too little relaxation and sleep leads to adrenal burnout. When the adrenal cannot function properly, the thyroid cannot function properly. I think I need to treat myself for adrenal and thyroid. I am constantly on fight or flight untill burnout for the past 8years and I think thats what caused my thyroid disfunction 5 years ago. _*I am wondering if I should buy cortisol to use as well ? ??? *_any ideas No Levoxythyroxine for a full week. I feel really tired though, but cant fall asleep even when I take homeopathic sleep aide. Thx Deana Brown

I can only tell you my symptoms when my thyroid is working, and this would be while I'm still taking synthroid medication. I will not sleep well, sweaty, and hyper. This is when my meds will have to be reduced. When my thyroid is too low, I'll be tired, sleepy all the time, bitchy, etc. This is when the doctor will increase the meds. The time I stopped taking my meds was several years ago, and I probably don't remember every symptom. I was extremely tired, slept 12-15 hours per day, didn't have enough energy to eat, weakness, headaches, etc. I have not stopped my meds yet, but I'm the one that plan to in the future. I'm glad you are sharing your story with us. My thyroid symptoms have never been textbook symptoms. I've never had a weight problem even though my thyroid was low. The first time I attempted to get my prescription filled, the druggist wouldn't fill it because he said the doctor wrote the wrong medication. When I asked why he thought this, he said I was too skinny to have a low thyroid. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. Irene
Guest guest
Hi Irene, I was just reading my book Let's Eat Right To Keep Fit by Adele Davis, and came across this section: " Toxic goiter is a condition which appears to occur when the liver has been so damaged that it cannot produce enzymes necessry to inactivate any thyroid hormone not needed; hence the hormone accumulates, causing the activities of all body cells to be accelerated, The person with a toxic goiter is therefore nervous, high-strung, over-active and usually underweight; he has a rapid pulse, may be frighteningly aware if each heartbeat and his body requirements for all nutrients skyrocket. It has been pointed out that his symptoms are identical to those of a person severely deficient in magnesium, which he may indeed lack. If he can obtain 2 to 6 mg of iodine daily with a high-protein diet generously supplemented with magnesium, calcium, and all vitamins, the liver damage can be overcome and health rebuilt without surgery. " She also writes: " When persons with underactive thyroid glands have been given daily both 4 mg of iodine (the amount supplied by a tsp of kelp) and 600 units of vit E, the amount of iodine taken up by the gland and the quantity of thyroid hormones in the blood have each increased almost immediately and markedly. " She writes a lot more of this condition and various thyroid deficiencies. Let me know if you want more of this. love Lisa herbal remedies , " imclark@e...
