Yes I read the book. I hated it! It has a LOT of good information in it and some of Dr. Shooks recipes are very valuable, however, the book its self is so poorly written that it is next to impossible to get the information out before falling fast asleep! I thought the writing was archaic and chauvanistic. Did I mention I didn't like this book? :-) I much prefer some of the other books I have read by Michael Tierra and James Duke for some examples. I kept my copy although I did threaten to use it as a bird cage liner at one point. I think there is use in some of his research, but I am not sure he would be one of my most trusted resources to go to! Just curious, are you taking a Master Herbalist course too?
