Guest guest
So does the cleanse apply to my problem as well? From all the reading I have done, I was going to go that route. It seems very difficult though. The doc said the way my family is, it would be too hard for me at this time. Why do the symptoms come and go? Also the organic food available around here is something to be desired. It is like 3 times the cost for regular and the regular looks and tastes better! Cant wait til the roadside markets open and my garden is ready for harvest. Of course the way I feel some days, I wouldn't have the energy to harvest it. Thanks for listening. Guest guest
Hi Lisa, I listed my problems in the original post. (diagnosis/prognosis) and the response to Carly. The Doc said with our diet and eating schedule, it would really be hard for me to do the cleanse. I have the total nutrition, but I didn't make it yet. BTW, I was reading up on the total cleanse earlier, and it says about going to bed at 9 pm. Is that necessary? It would be hard dealing with the food part, but I could force myself, but going to bed before 12am is nearly impossible for me. My kids don't even go to bed till at least 9:30- 10:00. Thanks in advance for any insights, I'll be on a little later. Guest guest
Hi Melanie, Just managed to check back on your original posting. You do describe the problem, but not your diet/eating schedule. What's the problem there? No, not necessary to go to bed at 9pm LOL. This is just a sample schedule so you can see how to fit all the actions into your day. You can adjust it to suit your schedule :-) It is important to get enough rest though, as the cleanse will be making your body work hard, and so it needs to get sufficient rest! How old are your kids then? Have you done the pregnancy test by now? I'd do that first even if only to eliminate that as a possibility. You would not be able to do a cleanse if you were pregnant, as that could affect the baby! love Lisa - wolfprincess68 herbal remedies Friday, May 06, 2005 7:47 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - RE: Diagnosis/Prognosis Hi Lisa, I listed my problems in the original post. You would not be able to do a cleanse if you were pregnant, as that could affect the baby! > No I haven't, syptoms went away for a few days, so I didnt bother. I was wondering if that would matter. (doing cleanse)I know I should rule it out, if I am I have different probs. When I was with my son, I searched high and low for a midwife/naturpath around here and no luck. So I ended up going to the " regular docs " and it was the worst experience of my life. I really believe they messed me up down there. They basically forced him out before he was ready. Dry birth very painful for both of us. Messed my insides up, IMO, and since he was early, they pumped him full of antibiotics the 3 days or so we were there. That is why I don't want to go back. All the docs around here are pro prescription/vaccine all the way. When I refused a few months back to let them give my daughter a tetnas shot, the pediatrician flipped, he was ready to call the school and Dept. of Health right there. He said there is something wrong with me if I think vaccines are bad. He said " Do you want her to get lock jaw?!, if that happens you would be responsible. " Sorry to ramble on, but I want to let you know what I am dealing with. Not just the family, I have not yet found one person who believes natural is best. It is such a shame. Well thanks for listening. The total nutrition is ok if I would be right? Let me know what you think. Thanks again. Guest guest
Hello Melanie, With regard to your diet/eating, I think you're going to have to do some research and get very creative on finding something which is both healthy and fun to eat for your family! Have a look at some websites for ideas - there's lots of good ones around. No, it's not recommended to do a cleanse while pregnant, as the toxins coming free could also pass to your baby. Can you not buy a pregnancy test in the pharmacy?? That's not very expensive and you wouldn't have to see a Doc to do so. I totally know what you mean about conventional medicine/children. I also had major fights as I've refused my child's immunisations. But I just take it all with a grain of salt. I'm very lucky to have a GP who at least knows my preference for natural living, and doesn't try to persuade me - he often asks me to report back to him on any herbal remedy I take so he can learn from it! By all means, do take Total Nutrition. It's good for you and a baby if you happen to be pregnant. If you want to do a cleanse, but your family is not willing to support your diet, then you may have to make separate meals. I do for my son - he doesn't like my kind of food. It's a lot of bother, but at least I can get my cleanse done that way. His diet is not too bad, all organic, but with lots of foods with enzyme inhibitors in them, and also he won't eat any raw foods. They take too much chewing. My son has Down's Syndrome and has a speech delay. It seems that his lack of chewing is connected to his speech delay, so I'm hoping that it will improve with time, and perhaps then he'll eat some raw foods. But.. his dad is totally not into health foods, and although he's not living with us anymore, I'm sure he left his food ideas as a legacy to my son by the looks of it! LOL However, considering what some people eat, my son is still way ahead of them, and is extremely healthy, so I'm not saying too much about it! love Lisa - wolfprincess68 herbal remedies Sunday, May 08, 2005 12:32 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - RE: Diagnosis/Prognosis herbal remedies , "Lisa de Haas" <lisa@l...> wrote:> Hi Melanie,> > Just managed to check back on your original posting. Hello Lisa, Yes, I have a bunch of cookbooks etc. It's just that we all prefer the junk. Oh yes, enzyme inhibitors--more of our favorites. Thanks for clarifying the the cleanse/total nutrition. I will try to get a test this week, just to know for sure. What is weird is the moving and pain I get usually comes at night after dinner and when I lay down. I'm just wondering what else could it be?? Fibroids, cancer etc. How does one get a diagnosis without a doctor?? Melanie
Guest guest
HI Melanie, Well, I can appreciate the preference for junk food, but if you want to make a change in your health, you really are going to have to look at it. It's your decision of course, but any natural healing you're trying to do, would be just a band-aid if you're not willing to change your diet and/or lifestyle. What I would personally do, is check out the pregnancy issue, and if it's negative, arrange a consult with Doc and call him. I just know that he can help you!! He's amazing, even long-distance :-) love Lisa - wolfprincess68 herbal remedies Monday, May 09, 2005 11:59 AMYes, I have a bunch of cookbooks etc. It's just that we all prefer the junk.
