Greetings

I have been reading the posts avidly, and appreciate the wisdom and

information offered, in this interesting and knowledgable group. I

have a specific question and I am looking forward to your responses.

Why dose ones blood presure bounce up and down?

Example:15 days ago 166/101

10 days ago 103/77

5 days ago 120/83

3 days ago 128/99

2 days ago 104/79

yesterday 112/79

today 176/106 !!!

I check the blood presure daily, since a diagnosis of hypertention

several months ago.

My question is why would there be so drastic a variation? More days

than not the numbers are perfectly exceptable, and then a spike.

Though it comes right back down, this does concern me.

Are there any others that find this funny up and down thing?

I am not taking any medication, and I am being careful with diet,

sugar and salt.

Does anyone have any other information or ideas? I try to look up

things on the " web " , so links would be helpful too. So far I haven't

found any mention of such highs and lows. I appreciate your help.

Thanks.

Susu

My experince with blood pressure has been this, I generally have

normal to low BP and one day I went for my yearly 'Gyno' visit and I

had been upset about something that morning and my BP was much

higher than normal! I would think your BP would fluctuate with the

stress in your everyday life? JMHO

Thank You JMHO

Stress could be a factor. I am surprised at such extreme variations.

I don't like the doctor's office either. Now I'm wondering if the

doctor was the cause of the hypertention in the first place! I will

monitor the activities on days the BP is high. Should I be taking

other precautions because of the spikes? The greatest share of the

time the numbers are quite good.

Thanks for your kind suggestion.

> >Hi!

When exactly are you taking your blood pressure readings? Sometimes it is

the time of day, like when you first get up, after any exercise, meals,

etc. There can be hidden things in foods that can hurt if you are not

careful. I am sure your doctor has told you what not to eat. Are you

taking any herbal supplements for your blood pressure?

Hi Susu...Me Too,

As a hypertensive for the last ten years I have learned to stay out of the stress zone

as much as I can control because life is unpredictable and so are many people

.... who can reek havoc on your blood pressure. (see-saw effect)

My organic raw diet is another controlling factor

....and water consumption...I drink at least a gallon a day

....no meat....no dairy (these choices contributed to my "high" blood pressure)

The "ultimate temple" a clean body without blockage/debris/parasites/mucoid/plaque et al is the key to this "silent killer"....and to any dis-ease. I decided to stop playing

"Russian Roulette" with my blood pressure...and my health...it's too risky at my age.

(I keep medication on hand for emergency)

Thank You Jen

I most usually check before noon. On mornings when it is very high I

check again later in the day. Is BP normaly high first thing in the

maorning after a good nights rest? That seems odd. No caffine, limeted

salt and sugar, less red meat; were the doctors suggestions, things I

knew already. I use crushed garlic and parsely, celery, dandilion,

vinegar and honey. I use stevia in my tea, and have begun using flax

seed oil. I am drinking more water and have upped calcium and vitamin C.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I grow a large vegatable

and fruit garden with several herb gardens. I wildcraft, here in

Michigan, and use many wild plants and herbs.

I am interested in controling this without professional medication.

Thank You Jen.
