Hi,

I'm only 25, but since being on the pill I have

completely lost my libido! I was on the pill for 7

months, although I have stopped taking it about 5

months back. The fact that I have no sex drive its

really frustrating my boyfriend. But he is being very

patient, and since we both believe in natural medicine

it was his idea that I get some advice from this

group.

Another comlication is that I have a 8cm fibroid on my

uterus (about the size of a 12 week pregnancy). This

often puts pressure on the uterus and sometimes makes

sex uncomfortable.

So please help! Which herbs can improve my libido? Any

particular foods (I'm a vegetarian, so oysters are out

of the question!)?

Thanks in advance...

Myra,

The herb damiana is good for the libido. Black cohosh, while being more for menopause, can regulate hormone levels again. As for food, strawberries are good. Try some relaxation techniques to combat the rising frustration.

Hello JM,

Doc strongly recommends against Soya and Soya products. See his article on file: A Bedtime Story.

Hi Lisa and JM,

I would think twice before having soya because of my

fibroids. Aparently fibroids are caused due to excess

estrogen, and they feed on estrogen. So soya, being

estrogen rich, is not recommended for me anyway!

Hi

First, I would like to say that I had no idea that Soya was rich in

Oestrogen!. That scares the hell out of me, being a person of the Male

variety, that could mean eating/drinking the stuff in quantities, could turn

me (eventually), in to a female!.

The other thing I have heard about Soya (most Soya in the UK is imported

from the USA), is that most of it is GM. Now does that frighten you?, it

does me!!.

Kind regards

Jeff

Hi JM,

For anybody that uses soy products, they should take a look at:

http://www.westonaprice.org/soy/index.html. There are many more

harmful things that soy does than help.

Hi Jeff,

Think about it - why do oriental men have no hair on

their bodies? And why are they

'the-smallest-in-the-trade'?! Just kidding, if there

are any Oriental men in this group, please don't take

offence. It was a theory a riend of mine told me

about... don't know if I entirely believe it though...
