Guest guest
I haven't posted in a looong time...but now I have a problem,I have been diagnosed with severe high grade pre cancerous dysplasia. They have alrady done some very painful,in office biopsies, which she said were not conclusive enough, but she saw something " micro " something cancer cells there. She is setting me up for a same day surgery in May to have a large triangle cut out of my cervix where she saw the cells, and do more biopsies. What are the odds of beating this? I am thinking only hysterectomy? I will be 41 in August =0( I have never had any type of surgery and am very nervous about all this. I would like to know I guess...IF I get to keep my " innards lol " ,what can I take herbally for treating myself in the attemp at keeping it at bay? I would appreciate any and all info if it is out there. Thank you all =0) Karly
Guest guest
Cervical Dysplasia is very common among women - my youngest neice has the pre-cancerous condition now, too. Most do NOT advance to Cancer, as this study shows: http://cancer.med.upenn.edu/resources/article.cfm? c=3 & s=8 & ss=23 & id=2028 & month=02 & year=1999 however - appropriate changes - must occur to help your body overcome this challenge. My niece has been told to work on nutrition deficient areas - such as adding folic acid, which appears to play a role in cervical health. Diet for a healthy immune system (and overall healthy cells) is a safe way to cause unusual cells to slough off without becoming the kind that affect other Cells. This approach is encouraged by traditonal Doctors too, and the new habits will serve you well the rest of your long happy life! You will find a LOT of helpful information in Google searches on the terms, with Nutrition as an added keyword. Enjoy drinking *fresh* fruit smoothies every day separate from your power-Vitamins. Pay special attention to the information on Vitamin C, E and Beta-Carotene in this article: http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Bookshelf/Books/10/46.cfm Some tips: Enjoy a Veggi-rich soup every day, in addition to crunchy raw & olive-oil sauteed veggies and Salads. *Greatly* decrease sugars and starches now. eating Pineapple, or an Apple before meals, and taking a pro-biotic may enhance your digestion and intestinal absorption of food. I'd avoid advice and behaviors that may weaken you now. Obviously, enjoy lots of sleep and water, green tea, and fresh air. Keep laughter, and joyful thoughts, and beauty in your consciousness. That is your natural element. I found this link below - that sounds like a direct answer to your question - but be aware that diet MUST be involved, not just herbs or some new medicine that may come out. http://www.herbal-solutions.com/products/prod53.htm Strengthing your Immune System - with special attention to Anti-Oxidants and creating the conditions in the body that causes funky-cell death (apoptosis I think) is definetely somthing you can work on NOW. Foods that are high in Anti-Oxidants - with Recipes - are the heart of the ZONE DIET. 100 TOP Zone Food, I think, is the title I read - and the author has updates and corrections to that volume available on the 'Net. A high-immune-system diet is MUCH easier after reading this book & implementing his method. Sheep Cheese (I like the Feta) is wonderful - and as high in anti- oxidants as Tuna or Salmon! I find it in European markets. That's just one thing I learned from the book. Organic Foods will give you 40% better nutrition - so from now on be rigorous about eating organically. If you OR a partner smoke - you must QUIT - and also consider an alternative to Oral Contraceptives. In case it goes that far - Be aware that most women - including me - who have had hysterectomies are pleased with life after the procedure, and are glad we had it done, even tho the process is more than yukky. There are numerous treatment alternatives out there now however. Many people advocate an Alkaline diet - and that is worth paying attention to now - but anti-oxidants and anti-cancer foods (onions, garlic, rich tomato sauce) really are your best friends, so maintain perspective. I am not a professional - and I do suggest you begin seeing a Naturopath to help you through the diet and herbal changes both for your current situation, and for the future. I like walking in gardens, Accupuncture, massage, and listening to Ekhardt Tolle's Power of Now, & self-hypnosis tapes for reducing Stress - also a key to your well-being. Reiki and Yoga may be your way. My best wishes, and prayers go to you as you restore your immune system health and experience of joy. As Ekhart Tolle says: This experience can be your Awakening. pdxJules herbal remedies , " karly11us " <karly.gray@g...> wrote: > I haven't posted in a looong time...but now I have a problem,I have > been diagnosed with severe high grade pre cancerous dysplasia. > They have alrady done some very painful,in office biopsies, which she > said were not conclusive enough, but she saw something " micro " > something cancer cells there. > She is setting me up for a same day surgery in May to have a large > triangle cut out of my cervix where she saw the cells, and do more > biopsies. > What are the odds of beating this? Guest guest
Hi again, Karly, It was great to read that 80% of the funky-cell reports don't get to the Cancerous stage...and that Nutrition and healthy lifestyle is considered a major preventative. However, since yours is reported as worth serious follow-up, I've done a couple different kind of searches, since I read health Study stuff all the time. I thot maybe some of this may be helpful: This Link is from the WebMD site. I always check their Herbs earch section before using anything - to check for possible interactions, warnings and contra-indications. RE: Cerv Cancer Treatments: webmd.com/content/pages/11/1839_50223.htm Here is a product that claims to prevent outbreaks of HPV Warts...the LEAST of the worries of women who have contracted the HPV Virus. I don't know what's in it. $8.95 for a 90 Day Supply of Papivex - sounds like a bargain - compared to other remedies. They claim a Full Refund Guarantee. Still, I am reluctant to take ANYTHING unless I know what it is, and does, first. Since they say it strengthens the cell - it sounds like a mega-vitamin...but who knows? (is it aloe based? In that case the Juice may be cheaper and fresher than pills...or the product below this...) https://secure23.dnsvelocity.com/~papivex/ This is a Treatment (from an MD) that makes sense to me. it has not gone thru wide-enough Double Blind testing yet to be formally prescribed, but Test Docs seem entuhusiastic enough to persue it: http://www.health-science-report.com/ I use Aloe daily on my hands - after coming in from the garden. Doctors call them disabled. Aloe helps me heal & remain active. I can't vouch for the Summary Info here - but it looks well worth reading to me! http://www.health-science-report.com/cgi-bin/alotek.cgi?topics=2 Dr Lishi Wang, who is one of The Treasures of China, has produced an amazing medicine that works on MANY conditions - and it would be good to know results in advanced CD & Cervical Cancer patients - is his medicines have been tested in that way. I didn't see the quality of research-based info that I normally expect from WebMD - but something on this list may help you get info from your Doc that s/he may not realize that you WANT: webmd.com/content/pages/11/1839_50221.htm I found a gallon-jug of Aloe Juice for a bargain - and it is easy to begin a routine of adding it to a glass of water every day, sometime after dinner. The routine can remind you to take your strategic supplements, too. Even if you opt to have a Cryo procedure - it sounds like his Beta-mannan can safely be added to your new diet change and lifestyle regimen. Perhaps our nieces & friends who do not yet contracted HPV can join a Clinical trial? (I've been in LOTS!) Here are 2... http://news.dcealumni.com/587/two-vaccines-coming-up-against-hpv/ Here are some Trials for Cerv.Dys patients. They do not appear to be related to treatment - but could result in improvements in early diagnosis - it appears: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct/gui/c/w2r/action/SearchAction/screen/ OpeningScreen?Term=Cervical%20Dysplasia & submit=Search%20 I'm not wild about this question - but have you had routine Pap Smear Exams? If so, one wonders why this wasn't identified while still a mild case of odd cells? Perhaps save this issue till you've gotten control of your options and Diet, but be aware that many Attorneys specialize in Medical Negligence, IF that is why this has gone on so long undetected. Here's what one Firm does first: _We obtain an independent review of the Pap smear slides for each cervical cancer patient evaluated by our office. This review is conducted by a pathologist specially trained to determine whether or not danger signs existed that should have been detected by others._ Here's more of their advice: http://www.meyersmedmal.com/checklist.html You are not alone in this situation. Here is some Immune System from the National Institutes: http://cis.nci.nih.gov/fact/7_2.htm Don't be deterred by the technical words... They can give you power to derail and prevent Cancer. Specifically - Phagocytes and Macrophages - are our friends! They already live within us - http://www.grohol.com/psypsych/Phagocyte and we can help encourage them to take care of us! Valerian can help you relax - to ensure that you get the sleep you need. It really stinks, so close the bottle quick! LOL - but it works great...and is very gentle. Well, that's enough for now - EAT organically and WELL - and take those Vitamins! Hope one of the above items is empowering to you at some time.
