Guest guest
Help - building a new home that will be on a private well. The water test came back positive for bacteria - probably from the pipe, but I am require to dump 11 gallons of household chlorine down the well, run the lines till I smell chlorine, seal the lines for 24 hours and then flush the lines till no smell of chlorine. I would really like to find an alternative means of treating the well - any ideas? Would hydrogen peroxide (food grade) do the trick?
