Guest guest
Hi there. I wanted to mention that all the posts have been so helpful. Speaking of foods, do you all ever feel like nothing is good for you? When I go grocery shopping, it seems I do not know what half of the ingredients are in the products. I am curious what types of diets you all are on. We have the Grocery store Whole Foods here in Dallas, but I do not shop there often due to it being expensive. Thanks for your information. Dawn Hi Dawn, Yes I do get that feeling when I go grocery shopping in a 'regular' grocery store (Jewel, Dominics). Generally speaking, there isn't anything there that hasn't been processed or tainted w/ pesticides/pasturization/hormones/antibiotics/chemicals.... But please don't think that Whole Foods is the end-all-be-all. When you start reading labels... really looking, you will find many, many of the same products hidden behind different looking packaging. There are only so many unprocessed, organic foods out there. When you have identified them, then shopping becomes easier. You are not looking at just the 'negatives'. You are too busy looking for the positives and knowing that you will have to do some work/cooking to make those choices have more variety. Whole Foods has organic fruits and veggies, but they also carry conventionally grown! Some weeks when I go there, it is actually hard to find a variety of organic fruits. Finding a pineapple that is organic at Whole Foods?? Darn near impossible... Their dairy is all pasturized. I believe their eggs also. I have access to a local co-op for raw dairy, raw eggs and raw honey. My over-all rule is " If it isn't in it's natural form -or I can't recognize what it came from, then I won't eat it " . In short, this means no processed foods. I'll do the processing myself in my own kitchen. Next most important is; if I have to eat conventionally grown fruits and veggies -it ain't that big a deal. If I eat 4 pieces of BBQ Chicken pizza from a local joint, I'm not going worry too much (ate that last night!). I cannot always afford (in time or money) to buy/eat/cook in the 'ideal scene' way. Do what you can and what works for you, and if you can look and say that " over-all " you put good stuff in, then you are doing well (and add exercise, tons of pure water and sunshine to that!) Then gradually add those other changes (some of Doc's herbals... ) Andrea

Guest guest
I want to take this time to thank Doc and everyone who have answered my questions along the way I learned many things of wich I will use and some of wich I wont use. I am batteling weaning my 14 month old from nursing and malnutritioning myself this entire pregnancy and nursing of 14 plus 9 months. I am currently working on regaining my strength. I guess I took the body cleansing too far and I ended up at the Doctor weak and lethargic, and I havent been able to get through the days too well for lack of eating period. I have been eating the right foods just not enough of them to keep up with the outgo I suppose. Thanks for any advise on how to regain my strength and get out of this crying period i have been in the past 4 days. Its not good and life is feeling emotionally overwhelming for me. I have tried many many herbs , still take omega 3-6-9 but through out the rest. Taking 15 or more different pills a day I dont think was doing me very good. The 5htp didnt help but I am drinking alot of gatorade to help replenish electrolytes. Too all in good health, may life be a blessing upon you as it some day may be for me again.
