Guest guest
Hi, I saw my youngest Grandson last night and he has the hugest cold sore I've ever seen on his top lip under his nose and it is creeping up into his nose and also across to the other side of his lip. Any remedies? He has been swabbing it with 3% peroxide to try and kill the virus. He is 12 yrs old. Thanks jen
Guest guest
It's a version of herpes. It sounds bad, is passive but simply annoying and ugly. It generally starts or occurs when subject is under mental or physical stress. Too much heat causes physical stress. Overburdened at home, work, school from general issues, to peer pressure, sibling rivalries to upset parents and or other adults etc. I knew a kid that didn't like visits or visiting his grandparents and would get them 2 days before the visit. They stat out as itchy spots and then start weeping. They have other names as well, sun blisters, cold sores, fever blisters are some. Long-term solutions are Total Body Cleanse with the blood detox formulas. This is what I have personally experienced in handling the problem. Guest guest
I have suffered from these, as well as several folks in my family. Take a q-tip dipped in REAL Vanilla extract, and dab on the upcoming cold sore. Usually keeps it from breaking out completely, especially if it's caught when it's just starting with the itching, tingling, or burning sensation. If it's gone past this point, it will still reduce the sore outbreak time. If caught during the sensation point, it might slightly raise up, and be a little red, but is usually gone in 1 to 2 days. If it's already broken out, the duration time is usually 3-4 days. Hope this helps a bit! Candy
Guest guest
If you can catch it before it breaks out, some activated charcoal mixed with a little water (to form a paste) and put it on the area. Leave it on for twenty minutes or so. Repeat this a few times. It is a little messy, but washes right off. You can also put this on a night with a bandaid. Both my roommate and I get them. We tried this the last time we felt a cold sore coming in and it worked like a charm for both of us. I have found the garlic and tea tree oil also work but they leave a scab which takes a week or so to heal. C. Works great! HTH, Candy
