Guest guest
I'm beginning to get some grinding and creakiness in my knees. Any good supplements that someone would want to suggest?
Guest guest
My suggestions are Fish oil, linseed oil and/or borage oil, MSM, vitamin C, plenty of fresh water. Guest guest
Hi Ginger, I use Devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) and St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) for the pain and swelling. For the " creakiness " and I know what it is that you speak of, I'm trying to remember the last time I creaked I laugh at myself, but it has been a while. I haven't thought of it for a while so, it has been longer since I actually did, have creaked. I do take Slippery Elm bark (Ulmus rubra) which is quite a thick goo. I take that to replenish the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines. Given the thick goo that it is I expect it could help lubricate the joints as well, I don't know. If you try it don't get the powder get the shaved bark and make a cold infusion. Take 1 part shaved bark (by volume) and add it to 5 parts water and let it sit for 24 hours then pour it through a strainer. It is so thick that you will need to push it through with a spoon. Gently pushing with a side to side stroke. You will get the idea. Once you drink it you will know what I tell the kids I am drinking. ) The Slippery Elm is a guess since I don't think anything else I am taking would help with that. Guest guest
I'm curious about this. I have an injury that affected both kneeds and my chiropractor suggested Glucosamine/Chondroiton and Shark Cartiledge (sp?) herbal remedies , " Doug Taylor " <taylords@s...> wrote: > > Hi Ginger, > > I use Devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) and St. John's Wort (Hypericum > perforatum) for the pain and swelling. I'd give cod liver oil a go. The slippery elm is good for many things, Its wonderful for my bowel problems. Also worth trying, or at least looking into are Boswellia (herb) and glucosamine. Guest guest
Tenna, I'm really glad to know that. I'm not supposed to have shellfish and didn't think to look for this in the ingredients. Thanks.
