Guest guest
I’ve been of the opinion for a long time that pasteurized juices (which are all you can get in some states) are as bad as consuming sugar because of the tremendous acidity. I have two friends, who, when their kids were toddlers, let them walk around all day sucking on bottles of pasteurized juices (no sugar added.) Both those kids ended up with their teeth turning black – or the teeth died or something. It was really gross. Luckily they were baby teeth. (It would have been better if they had at least diluted it.) If you drink that juice, it’s NOTHING like drinking unpasteurized juice. It doesn’t taste the same, and you feel absolutely rotten. The heating process turns a cleansing alkaline drink into an acidic enzymeless processed sugar. I think even the vitamins and minerals are destroyed. What say you, Zeb? HOWEVER, Doc Christopher's Juice Cleanse (info in the files) does say that you can do it with bottled juices, and I have, with great results. Obviously, " fresh juice " , even if a few hours old, would be better than bottled. I'd recommend not making this too complicated for yourself. If you want to try a juice fast, go for it! Juice what you can fresh and do what you can for the other. I was just hoping that I could juice enough for day or two | during times when I'm busy and on the run- saving the prep and clean- | up time. Doesn't sound like it.
