Guest guest
Hi Everyone, First let me say that I was extremely happy to find such an active group of Herbal Medicine folks! Here's my story...Infected via transfusion with Hepatitis C in 1989. Dx after much fatique, and saw a poster on my MD's wall while there to see why I had *Chronic Fatique* syndrome. Thank goodness this poster was there explaining who should be tested. This all took place in 2001, and since then I've decided to go with an Alternative way of treating this bug due to the fact I had all NORMAL blodwork. If I hadn't seen that poster, I'd still may be on the latest anti-depressant, or whatever...(my MD tried everything) I say thank you to *fate* for the day I was placed in the room at far end of the Dr's office with that poster! Funny how the mind body connection kicked in, and my liver area really started hurting after being dx. This problem made me give in to removal of my :::shudder::: gallbladder! Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then! darn...Since then my enzymes have gone up a bit to the high/normal range.....double darnit! I miss my gallbladder! Anyway, I've tried a couple of TCM formulas and found some relief from the fatique, but would really like to try some decocting on my own with herbs. I've dabbled a bit with Schisandra, Picrorhiza, Phylannthus, and Sophora Root. Not all together of course. I have 3 busy children, and just can't bring myself to go on Interferon tx for a year with a low response rate, and take the chance of mutating these little bugs that have taken up home in my liver. Most days I feel pretty good, but still have bout of fatique, and loose stools with undigested food at times. I just started taking Kefir, and hope this will help with the bowel problem. I've tried digestive enzymes in the past, and had a weird reaction to them. Also, any input on the best Immunomodulators is appreciated. I don't want to take anything that may supercharge this immune system, as that can be just what this virus wants to kick in with. I've studied every aspect of this junk, and am just about *full of the internet...lol I've been to a couple of TCM prationers, a DO that practices Integrative Medicine, and a couple of ND's. Many different opinions too. I have middle of the road damage on my liver, and hope to heal it completely someday. Organic foods, cosmetics, and diet are part of my new healthy lifestyle also. Feel free to email, or post with any information. Thanks for reading this, and thanks for any info! Well wishes to all, Christina :^ )
Guest guest
Hi Christina, First, I just wanted to mention that this group is moderated, so posts may take a while to get to the group. (Not too long, though as we have a very active group of moderators!) The only reason a post would not be approved is if it violated any of the group policies. Very unusual, however, as we have such a great group! Anyway, I highly recommend that you get Doc's free lecture (from www.academyofnaturalhealing.com) and when you've listened to that, call him for your free consultation. If I were you I'd be doing the Total Body Cleanse, BIG TIME! It would do worlds of wonder for you.
