Guest guest
Does anyone know of any remedies that help repair scar tissue? A couple of summers ago I went down the Alpine Slide in Breckinridge, CO - on my arm. I scraped most of the skin off and had a heck of time healing. Between that and severe stretch marks, I look pretty battle-worn or something. I've been looking in the mirror lately and feeling a bit dissatisfied with that. Sorting through the crud on the internet on this topic though has been difficult. Any thoughts? Thanks, Rachele BTW- The alpine slide is a ski resort attraction for summer visitors. It's a huge cement slide built into the side of the mountain. You ride up the ski lift, get in to an incredibly unstable plastic sled with totally unreliable brakes, and fling yourself down through this cement chute at insane speeds. It's the curves that get you. Lots of fun!!!
Guest guest
I haven't really delved into the cosmetic healing section of things yet, I'll ask around though. Guest guest
I have a lot of scars too, one from doing a face plant/skid into a table at work that took off about 6 layers of skin on my knee (of COURSE it was in front of EVERYONE that I worked with!). And now I work with animals and am constantly scratched up. So, I made my own scar cream, and it does seem to help. I made the base oil using rosehip and macademia nut oils, and infused them with plantain, gotu kola, chamomile and lavender, and then added it to some other oils. The first time I used shea butter, cocoa butter, vit e and avocado oil. The second time i used cocoa butter, coconut oil, and wheat germ oil. The real keys, I think, are the cocoa butter and the scar oil. My hands were relatively scar free when I used it, which was at LEAST 2 times a day. Anyway, HTH! Blessings, Jennifer
