Tincture Question - Total Tonic Recipe

I have not made a tincture before. The recipe for Total Tonic says

to either " use the mash right away " or " wait 2 weeks and tincture "

 

I'm not clear on how to make the tincture from this liquid mash when

I compare it against the directions in the file for making a

tincture.

 

Could someone clarify the directions for me?
